Original airdate: 28 Jun 2010

When his neighbour Vince has a litter of fox cubs Nelson is thrilled to be an uncle at last, until he finds that Vince has eaten all of his cubs except one - the runt of the litter. Nelson decides to save the runt, only to discover that he's the sickliest, saddest, most difficult animal you could ever wish to meet.

Destiny meets a handsome dog called James who teaches her the art of the bottom sniff. Destiny quickly discovers that when it comes to sniffing bottoms she is an artist with special powers.

Marion gets addicted to catnip and goes crazy. Nelson steps in with some aversion therapy in a bid to save his friend.

Kali is reunited with an old partner in crime, the dove Dean. She is irritated to discover that Dean has no interest in helping her terrorise the neighbourhood since he has now found God and seen the error of his ways. Annoyed, Kali plots to tempt Dean back to the dark side.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Ask a Stupid Question...: Happens when Kieran drops the C-word when demanding his insulin.
Nelson: Neil and Christine Hamilton! Where on Earth did you learn language like that?!
    Vince: (walking by) Evening, ***!
    Nelson: ...oh, of course.
  • Behavioral Conditioning: Nelson orders Marion to eat as much catnip as he can until he feels sick in a form of aversion therapy. This backfires, as Marion devours every bush in the East End and develops an actual addiction.
  • Bolt of Divine Retribution: God himself drops one on Kali when she insists that there is no God.
  • Cat Up a Tree: Happens to Marion after he trips on catnip. Lampshaded by himself:
Marion: Oh, God, Kali! I'm a cat, and I'm stuck up a tree! I'm such a cliché.
    Kali: You totally are.
  • Delicate and Sickly: Parodied. Keiran, the runt of Vince's litter, has so much wrong with him that the doctor lists it all alphabetically. Nelson's attempts at finding something he's good at just uncovers even more problems with him.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Keiran ends up crushed to death by Nelson's bookcase when he reaches for his blood clotting tablets.
  • Easy Evangelism: Dean is able to convert Marion and Vince to Christianity in the span of five minutes, much to Kali's irritation.
  • Eats Babies: Vince devours five of his six cubs shortly after they're born, and then chows down on Kieran following his untimely death.
  • Point of Divergence: Nelson is appalled to learn that the only reason Vince ate his cubs at all was because he couldn't find a spoon for his Muller Rice. In Vince's defence, they were both rhubarb flavour. Almost immediately after, as Nelson escorts Kieran out of the den, Vince finds a spoon on the floor.
Vince: So, it was a senseless waste of life, after all! (chuckling) Oh, dear!
  • God Is Inept: Kali claims as much in her song "What Kind Of God?", where she questions the validity of a God that allows sharp plastic packaging, motorcycles that weave in traffic, junk mail in newspapers and homeless children.
  • High on Catnip: At the start of the episode, Marion gets peer-pressured into sniffing catnip at a nightclub and "bezzes out".
  • Mushroom Samba: Not seen, but implied. Marion consuming every catnip plant in the East End causes him to start tripping hard, ranting to Destiny about a tree he needs to stop from crying and screaming that he's hallucinating Kieran bursting out of Nelson's stomach.
  • Nay-Theist: Kali refuses to believe in God despite the fact that he exists (and is played by Christopher Biggins). She gets a Bolt of Divine Retribution for her trouble.
    Kali: Screw you, Biggins!
  • Take That!:
    • Katy Price gets thrown in as an annoyance that God permits in "What Kind of God?"
    • Big Issue sellers get lumped in with the rats and pigeons below deck on Noah's Ark.
  • The Nose Knows: Even by dog standards, Destiny's a savant when it comes to bottom-sniffing, able to divine a person's entire personality from it. Even if they have stage five brain cancer - which James dies from immediately after Destiny finds that out.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Kieran the runt fox cub and James the dog, introduced in this episode, both die before episode's end.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: After getting High on Catnip, Marion wakes up in a tree with no memory of how he got there. Later, a disgusted Nelson informs him that he also defecated in a Variety Club Sunshine Coach, which curtailed a school trip to Thorpe Park.
