Narrator: Previously on… Kamen Rider Gotchard!
The Three Dark Sisters created the DreaDriver from human malice, "Gotchanko-rcing" it upon Sabimaru Tsuruhara.
Houtarou and his friends are helpless against the overwhelming power of the newly-born Kamen Rider Dread.
However, there yet exists a chance to turn the tables!
Don't lose hope, Gotchard! Save Sabimaru no matter what...!

Sabimaru is under the Dark Sisters' thrall as Kamen Rider Dread and Houtaro has been utterly defeated by the menacing new Rider. However, hope is not yet lost, for UFO-X has offered a new weapon to the young alchemist, one that could help him save his friend from the Dark Sisters' clutches.

With the stakes rising and Sabimaru's life on the line, Houtaro must befriend UFO-X to bring out the new weapon's full potential, and free Sabimaru from the vile driver's hold before it's too late.

Tropes

  • Apologetic Attacker: Sabimaru barely manages to whisper out "sorry" before being forced to transform into Dread once more.
  • Bad Boss: The Alchemists Union council that Minato asks assistance from completely sideswipes his request in order to berate him for "only" capturing 46 Chemies. One has the gall to tell Minato he wants all the Level Number 10 Chemies by the end of the year, as though capturing mythical beings of unparalleled will and power was as simple as a stop at the grocery store.
  • Catapult Nightmare: The episode opens with Houtaro having a nightmare where he stops Dread from killing Kajiki, only for Sabimaru to die in the process.
  • Convenient Coma: Kajiki knocks himself out as everyone calls for UFO-X and only regains consciousness after the Academy successfully retrieves Sabimaru and UFO-X.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Seeing Kajiki fanboy about UFOs makes Houtaro realize how they can summon UFO-X again.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even Supana doesn't think highly of the Alchemists' Union after Minato fails to convince them of the real threat, considering it as useful as talking to a wall.
  • How Do I Shot Web?: Houtarou has to ask UFO-X how to use the Exgotchacalibur, given that it simply left the artifact with him without explaining how to use it.
  • Poor Communication Kills: The episode's plot hinges on the fact that UFO-X left the Exgotchacalibur with Houtarou without explaining how to use it, necessitating him and the others to track it down for help.
  • Power at a Price: Atropos reveals that every time Sabimaru transforms into Dread, the Driver drains a portion of his life force, shortening his lifespan. If he isn't freed, he'll die.
  • Single Tear: Sabimaru sheds one before being forced to transform into Dread again.
  • Skewed Priorities: The Alchemists' Union heads seem hardly bothered by the revelation that Shiori was the traitor and that a student was forced to become Kamen Rider Dread, telling Minato to focus on collecting the Chemies instead.
  • This Cannot Be!: The Dark Sisters are shocked that Houtarou was able to recover UFO-X, given that Level 10 Chemies can't be subjugated. Houtarou points out that he's befriending them, allowing him to get past this limitation.
  • This Looks Like a Job for Aquaman: Subverted. Houtaro ropes Kajiki into the second attempt to summon UFO-X because of his knowledge of interacting with the occult and his Weirdness Magnet tendencies, but he gets knocked out during the process before anything could happen. In fact, it was Sabimaru's desperate plea for help (through Isaac) that actually manages to get through to UFO-X.
  • Trauma Swing: Renge sits on a swing for a moment to contemplate Sabimaru's sorry state while cradling his tablet.
