"It's a bird! It's a plane! Or maybe, it's a rocket! It's Super Sonic Jay Jay!!!"
Jay Jay uses Savannah's top-secret jet fuel to go super-duper- fast! He winds up flying so fast that he can't slow down. Luckily, Savannah comes to Jay Jay's rescue and guides him home to safety. He learns to keep his hands off other people things unless he asks first!
"Super Sonic Jay Jay" provides examples of:
- An Aesop: Never touch things you’re not allowed to use unless you ask permission to do so.
- Bittersweet Ending: Jay Jay did not break a record to become famous as he thought he would, but he did learn his lesson.
- Cheshire Cat Grin: Jay Jay flashes this when he spies Savannah's fuel tank and gets the idea of beating the fastest flight record. He flashes it again when Tracy reminds him they're not allowed to touch it, but he doesn't listen.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Jay Jay would've gotten into the Big Book of Records in the first place because of his quick turns, according to Brenda.
- Deadpan Snarker: Tracy is this briefly when Jay Jay is going to use Savannah's fuel.
- Distant Duet: Jay Jay sings about enjoying his ability to fly fast, while Tracy and Herky watch from below, singing as they observe him.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Jay Jay has one as he gets the idea to be the fastest plane, causing him to flash a rather huge (yet a little disturbing) grin.
- Guinness Episode: Played with. Jay Jay attempts to break a single record, but it's hard to do so.
- Handshake Substitute: Jay Jay shouts, "Wing me!" and he and Tracy slap wings, probably an aircraft version of a high five.
- "I Want" Song: Downplayed, but Jay Jay points out he wants to be in the record book during his song.
- Melismatic Vocals: Jay Jay hits these in "In The Record Book", when singing "high" and "flight" in every fourth line.
- Mood Whiplash: Towards the end of "In The Record Book", Jay Jay's excitement of flying fast shifts into horror when he starts to go out of control.
- Musicalis Interruptus:Jay Jay: Jay Jay...had the fastest flight!(Begins to lose control)Had the fastest fl- (screaming) YIIIIIKES!!!Tracy and Herky: Oops, maybe not quite...something's not right!
- Oh, Crap!: Jay Jay has this look just before he flies out of control.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Herky seems to slip into Jay Jay's voice as he says he has to leave to make a delivery.
- Super-Speed: Jay Jay uses Savannah's fuel to fly this fast.
- Too Fast to Stop: Jay Jay, due to using Savannah’s fuel, ends up being unable to stop himself. When Savannah catches him, his jets are stuck on, so they have to fly around until he runs out of fuel.
- You Are Grounded!: Brenda says this to Jay Jay sternly, as punishment for using Savannah's fuel, but she still forgives him.
