Look, Ma, I'm in the choir!
Cantus arrives and tells the Fraggles of the greatest song of all: the Song of Songs, which they will all sing after they hear the Honk of Honks. He tasks Gobo with finding the Honk of Honks, but Gobo is more concerned with the fact that Doc is unable to see him. He comes around to doing the job, though, using honking items donated by the Trash Heap, Cotterpin, and Junior, then applying them to the Fraggle Horn. But Cantus replies that he still hasn't found the Honk of Honks.Gobo goes back to Outer Space and sees Doc's sadness at Shimmelfinney's having to move to the desert because of his ill health. Gobo comforts him, and Doc sees a Fraggle for the first time. He gives Gobo a party blower, which Gobo puts in the Horn with the other stuff. He blows it, playing the Honk of Honks, which resounds throughout the Rock and is heard by the Doozers, the Gorgs, the Trash Heap, Sprocket, and Doc. As the Honk fades away, Cantus, the Minstrels, and the Fraggles sing the Song of Songs.

- Bizarre Instrument: The Fraggle Horn, mixed with things Gobo got from the Trash Heap, Doozers, Gorgs, and Doc, is used as the titular Honk of Honks.
- Chekhov's Gun: At the beginning of the episode, Sprocket is playing with a party blower. It turns out to be the final piece needed for the Honk of Honks.

- It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: Gobo would rather observe Doc and Sprocket than find the Honk of Honks.
- Magical Flutist: When Cantus is first seen playing his pipe, flowers start to open.
- Mesodiplosis: Cantus, when explaining to Gobo what he must do so that Doc will be able to see him, uses the word "touch" in the middle of three consecutive phrases.Cantus: You must let the Silly Creature touch you, and you must touch him. Once touched, he will see, and so will you.
- Noodle Incident: Gobo knowing what it means to lose your best friend.
- No Peripheral Vision: Here we find out Doc can't see Fraggles.
- Plot Coupon: To find the Honk of Honks, Gobo has to get honking items from the Trash Heap, the Doozers, the Gorgs, and finally from Doc, to combine with the Fraggle Horn.
- Rule of Three: Cantus tells Gobo that the Song of Songs will begin "after the third snack" and that he has until then to find the Honk of Honks.
- Supreme Chef: The other Fraggles love Boober's baking.
- Word, Schmord!: After Cantus tasks Gobo with finding the Honk of Honks, Gobo calls after him, "Honk of Honks, Honk of Schmonks!"
