Synopsis

As Dirk and Todd embark on a hunt for Patrick Spring's dark enigmas, Todd reveals a secret of his own. Detectives Estevez and Zimmerfield take big risks as they inch closer to the truth of their missing person's investigation.

• Blood from the Mouth: Zimmerfield in the car after getting impaled by a harpune.
• Character Death: Zimmerfield.
• God Test: While Dirk first denies that he has psychic powers, when put to the test he is able to predict the cowboy figure Todd drew on his napkin. Nothing comes off this revelation though.
• I Never Said It Was Poison: Dirk outs himself as a psychic when telling Todd that he isn't a psychic which Todd never claimed to begin with.
• Killer Rabbit: This is the first time the cute kitten shows its true killer potential thanks to the shark spirit trapped inside it.
• Look Both Ways: Bart kills a man by luring him onto the street where he is promptly run over by a car.
• Mood Whiplash: An actual heartwarming one in regards to the Rowdy Three. Amanda is having an attack of her disease once again. Cue the Rowdy Three gather around her. The audience thinks "oh boy," but they end up helping her. The kicker? When the leader tells Amanda that "she doesn't have to put up with that shit anymore."
• The Reveal: Todd faked having pararibulitis in college so his parents would give him money, constructing a Web Of Lies to get away with this.
• Room Full of Crazy: When the two detectives enter the allegedly abandoned animal sanctuary they find the interior walls covered with strange symbols.
• Shoot the Dog: The opening scene has Gordon trying to Mercy Kill his dog in Lydia's body. He cannot bring himself to go through with it though.
• Shout-Out: When Todd suggests giving up the digging, Dirk sarcastically agrees and notes they should move back to Kansas and be farmers.
• Silver Bullet: Discussed. When hearing about the rumors about the Rowdy Threes being vampires, Hugo wonders if they should bring golden bullets with them.
• Use Your Head: Riggins head-butts Hugo after the latter sabotaged their mission once again.
• Wham Episode: Todd's Dark Secret is revealed and Zimmerfield dies.
• Wham Line: "I didn't have the disease."
