Numbuh Four is taken to Take-Your-Daughter-To-Work-Day by his father and discovers a plot to send all the girls to Pluto.

Now loading tropes:

  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: For all that he 'hates' girls and Rainbow Monkeys, Numbuh Four cares enough about Numbuh Three (a girl who loves Rainbow Monkeys) that he won't leave without her, despite being perfectly willing to leave the other girls to their fate. Then, as the ship starts taking off to Pluto, he chooses to push Numbuh Three to safety, thereby sacrificing his own chance to escape.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Numbuh Four and Numbuh Three.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: While Numbuh Three is present, she's not shown to be particularly obsessed with Rainbow Monkeys as she will eventually become in R.A.I.N.B.O.W.S. and beyond.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: They seem to love Rainbow Monkeys at least. Mr. Boss uses this to lure them all into one room.
  • The Glomp: Numbuh Three hugs Numbuh Four after he crash-lands on Mr. Boss's car.
  • Here We Go Again!: This episode was mostly "Bring Your Daughter to Work" Day and Numbuhs 3 and 4 have to prevent all the daughters from being blasted off to Pluto. At the end, Numbuh Four's dad says he'll bring him in again for "Bring Your Son to Work" Day.
  • Innocuously Important Episode: What appears to be a simple "Take Your Child to Work Day" Plot actually introduces some of the show's most famous aspects like The Rainbow Monkeys, Mr. Boss and the relationship between Numbuhs Three and Four.
  • Kick the Dog: Numbuh Four was all set to escape the rocket and leave the girls to be sent to Pluto. Then he discovers Numbuh Three is there too and when he tells her about the plot, she forces him to save the others.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
  • No One Gets Left Behind: Averted by Numbuh Four who just wants to get himself and Numbuh Three out. Numbuh Three however refuses to leave without the other girls.
  • Parental Obliviousness: Numbuh Four's father seems completely unaware that the ceiling above his head (and possibly the whole top of the building) has been blown off.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Faced with the prospect of spending the rest of his life on Pluto playing Rainbow Monkeys with a bunch of girls, Numbuh Four is all for escaping and leaving the girls to their fate...until he finds out that Numbuh Three is also in the Party Room.
  • Ship Tease: This episode kicked off the series wide Romance Arc between Numbuhs 3 and 4, albeit in case of Early-Installment Weirdness, while the latter shows great care about the former, his crush would only become apparent in the next episode focused on the pair.
  • "Take Your Child to Work Day" Plot: The episode revolves around this trope. Numbuh 4 is brought to "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" by his father, despite not wanting to be there. He ends up uncovering a plot by Mr. Boss to send all the daughters (including Numbuh 4) in a rocket to Pluto so his employees will have more time to work for him.
  • Zerg Rush: The workers' daughters end up doing this to Mr Boss, as they all try to thank him for setting up the party room for them.
