Go To

Ben and co visit a stageshow based on the former's exploits, only to discover a familiar face behind everything.

  • Brick Joke: Partway through, Gwen suggests that Ben could resolve the episode’s conflict simply by having the show shut down legally, even pointing out that her dad’s a lawyer. Later, after Ben is sued for damages to the Nemesis hotel, Ben asks Gwen if her dad is home.
  • Cut Lex Luthor a Check: Invoked. Albedo hires some alien actors and puts on a show about Ben so he can make a living.
  • Discard and Draw: With his Omnitrix having been turned into an Ultimatrix and taken by Ben, Albedo instead has his actors step in to fight at first, before instead getting the power to turn into any alien for a few minutes.
  • Harmless Villain: As Gwen puts it, Albedo is not a villain anymore, he’s just a nuisance. Ben and his team were fully prepared to leave after learning Albedo wasn't doing anything bad but Hugh convinced them that Albedo was up to something.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: While he was put up to it by Hugh, Ben sabotaging Albedo’s machine restores the latter to an active threat trying to off him.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: The Vaxasaurian actor Hugh is clearly modelled after Woody Allen in voice.
  • Not So Stoic: Gwen is mostly mildly bemused at the existence of Ben 10 Live, but she gets incredibly angry when "The Gwen-ettes" are showcased. Of course, Kevin is delighted.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: In-Universe, Albedo’s choice of aliens for Ben 10 Live are based on the fact the three most successful auditions being the same species as Humongosaur, Swampfire and Big Chill.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Vilgax actor departs once he sees the real Ben 10 has arrived and doesn't like the show.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: Gwen points out that Ben can shut down Albedo's show legally, since her dad's a lawyer.
  • Stealth Pun: After entering Unstoppable Rage mode, Albedo transforms into Rath
  • Stylistic Suck: To say the Ben 10 show is bad is the nicest thing one can about it. Though Kevin thinks higher of it after seeing the Gwen-ettes.
  • Terrible Interviewees Montage: Albedo’s flashback to how he set the show up showcase a few of these.
  • Villainy-Free Villain: Albedo wasn’t doing anything wrong in this episode. Merely gathering money from his Ben 10 Live tour to fund the construction of a device that would hypothetically restore his Galvan form. He was even prepared to leave and never bother Ben again after it seemingly works. The only reason why Ben and his team even went after him was because Hugh tricked Ben and his team into attacking Albedo because Hugh was kind of a celebrity thanks to the show and didn't want Albedo to leave.
  • The Voiceless: Rath!Albedo doesn't talk and just makes sounds.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Albedo is able to return to his original Galvan form briefly, but quickly gets reverted back to human, much to his dismay.
