Fair Game has examples of
- Game Show Goofballs: The Warners drive Ned crazy by guessing "Isaac Newton" before he even has the chance to ask the question. When Ned finally does get to ask the question, "Who first identified the laws of gravity?", the Warners actually have a hard time answering it (Yakko even answers "Tori Spelling"). To get the game over with quicker, Ned sends Wakko to the lightning round, where the goal is to solve a puzzle (Eyes+Tack-T Newt+Ton). Wakko keeps guessing wrong (Isaac Newtweight, Isaac Newtheavy, Isaac Newtanvil, and Isaac Newttrapezoid), and the question is then handed to the other two (producing Isaac Newtgraything and Isaac Newttorispelling), which leads to Ned yelling out that the answer is "Isaac Newton". This results in Ned winning the game and a six-month trip to the Rock of Gibraltar, which he doesn't even want.
- Sanity Slippage: Poor Ned, having to deal with the Warners.
The Slapper has examples of
- Clapper Gag: It's a spoof of the original commercial for The Clapper. Except instead of turning off the lights, it slaps whoever is annoying you.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Walter won't change the channel? Waiter ignoring you? Incessant Chorus keeping you up? The Slapper will pound 'em silly for you!
Puppet Rulers has examples of
- Are You Pondering What I'm Pondering?: "Uh, I think so, Brain, but we'll never get a monkey to use dental floss."
- Been There, Shaped History: At one point, in Arkansas, a young William Jefferson Clinton watches JFK on television saying, "Ich bin ein Noodle Noggin," inspiring his future presidency.
- The Cameo: Buttons and Mindy briefly show up.
- Human Popsicle: Brain's plan is to freeze him and Pinky for 40 years.
- Shout-Out: Brain's plan is inspired by a Captain Ersatz of Beany and Cecil, which indeed had celebrity fans like Albert Einstein, as depicted here.
- Shown Their Work: Albert Einstein really was a fan of Beany and Cecil. At one point, he was in a big meeting, and then he looked at his watch and said, "You'll have to excuse me, gentlemen. It's time for Beany."
Closing Tower gag: Wakko (shampooing his hair): "Lather" Dot (squirting water gin at him): "Rinse." Yakko (pours bucket of water on the two of them): "Repeat."
