Alice and her friends build a Gingerbread Palace to host a Christmas dinner for all of Wonderland.

Tropes:

  • Christmas Episode: When Alice is invited to the Queen’s Christmas of Hearts Dinner but her best friend isn’t, she has to figure out a way for everyone to be included in this fun holiday tradition.
  • Dramatic Drop: One of the Card Soldiers drops the tray he was holding when Alice declines the Queen’s invitation to her very exclusive Christmas dinner.
  • Dreaming of a White Christmas: The episode ends with snow falling over the titular Gingerbread Palace.
  • Exploding Closet: Fergie comes running in, slips on the floor, and crashes into the kitchen which causes a cabinet to open and an avalanche of cherries to come pouring out on him.
  • Extra-Long Episode: This episode is a full 30 minutes long, instead of the usual two 15-minute segments format the episodes are usually in.
  • Faux Horrific: The Card Soldiers react in horror at the idea of the Queen having white roses in her garden instead of red. One even says “Oh, the horror!”
  • Pest Episode: The palace gets infested with Mome Raths looking for a warm refuge from the cold winter weather.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!:
Queen of Hearts: This Christmas of Hearts Dinner! Is! Canceled!
  • Rule of Seven: The Queen of Hearts invites seven, and only seven, guests to her annual Christmas of Hearts dinner. It’s even considered the “Royal Christmas Rule”.
  • Squee: Alice and Dinah do this when Cookie announces they’ll be learning holiday recipes.
  • Tempting Fate: Alice says “I’m sure a few cute Mome Raths running around can’t be that bad.” The scene then cuts to the Mome Raths terrorizing the palace.
  • That Was Not a Dream: The Queen of Hearts gets up from a nap and tells Rosa that she had a terrible dream about Mome Raths taking over the palace - which is exactly what is actually happening.
  • True Meaning of Christmas:
Alice: Christmas is about celebrating with all your friends and family.
  • Uninvited to the Party: When all his friends get invited to the Queen’s Christmas dinner but he doesn’t, Fergie’s very disappointed because he’s been trying to get on the guest list every year since he was little. In protest to the Queen’s “only seven guests rule”, Alice gives up her invitation.
