Super Psychic Policeman Chojo (超巡! 超条先輩) is a manga series written and illustrated by Shun Numa. The first chapter was published on February 13, 2024 in issue 11, 2024 of Weekly Shonen Jump. The one-shot was published in Issue 21-22, 2023 of Weekly Shonen Jump.

This manga provides examples of:

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Played for laughs. Cop-Bot gets so frustrated with trying to rehabilitate Chojo that he goes on the war path against humanity, but he's (unknowingly) whipped into submission by Ippongi after she thinks he's interested in judo after he attacks her.
  • Androids and Detectives: Chapter 4 introduces Cop-Bot as the new rookie to the West Chinjuku Police Station.
  • Badass Adorable: Ippongi is cute as a button and is a judo master with outright superhuman levels of strength.
  • Beware the Mind Reader: Invoked in-universe. Very few people want anything to do with Chojo since he can look into their minds at any moment. He really isn't as bad as the rumors say, though the fact that he is more than a bit of a jerk doesn't exactly help his reputation.
  • Bland-Name Product: Invoked and subverted. Chapter 3 centers around a card game which is blatantly just an in-universe version of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but doesn't share its name or any of the cards. One initially thinks it's because they don't have the rights for it… until Ippongi just flat-out name drops the franchise at the end of the chapter.
  • Buddy Cop Show: It's a comedy series centering around a police duo.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Zigzagged with Chojo. While he's certainly competent, he isn't exactly very good at the whole "keeping the peace" part of his job.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Chojo. He really is a decent guy deep down, but he's also an abrasive, lazy, petty manchild at the same time.
  • Manchild: Chojo. Not necessarily because he enjoys kids' games as a hobby, but because he quite literally bickers with children and enjoys beating them at card games which he has the luxury of spending his full salary on.
  • Mind over Matter: In addition to mind reading, Chojo has of telekinesis.
  • Police Psychic: Well, duh.
  • Straight Man: Ippongi towards Chojo's antics.
  • Tropey, Come Home: Chapter 2 is about finding a lost cat.
