Until We Meet Again is a Young Adult Romance novel by Renee Collins.

Cassandra is a teenage girl who's being forced to spend the summer with her mother, baby brother, and step-father in the town of Crest Harbor, Massacheusetts. She didn't really have any say in whether she wants to go or not, and is now being forced to either stay home, or come along with her mom and step-dad to every social situation they can join. So, yeah, not Cassandra's summer hopes and dreams.

Then, one day, she meets a boy on the beach behind her house. The boy introduces himself as Lawrence, and the two hit it off. Soon, a friendship blossoms between them that could very well become something more. One little problem, though.

Lawrence is from 1925, and Cassandra's from 2015.

So, yeah, now they have to work out how to make it work between them, and how to save Lawrence from his murder some weeks later.

The book was published November 3rd, 2015.

Until We Meet Again contains examples of:

  • Arranged Marriage: Ned reveals he set Lawrence up with Fay late in the book.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Cassandra and Lawrence manage to save Lawrence's life, but the passing of the full moon means they will never see each other again, and Travis has been RetGoned from existence.
  • Evil Uncle: Lawrence's Uncle Ned.
  • Grandfather Paradox: Cassandra discovers, to her horror, that she unintentionally RetGoned Travis with one of these. Because Lawrence was with her on the beach rather than at the party he would've been at at the time, he couldn't drive Billy Howard home while Billy was drunk. As a result, Billy tried to drive himself home and died in a car accident. Because of this, he couldn't marry and give birth to any of Travis' other ancestors.
  • Lunacy: Cassandra and Lawrence realize near the end of the book that the anomaly that allows them to see each other was caused by a full moon. It also means that the anomaly will close (possibly for good) at the next full moon.
  • Switching P.O.V.: The story tends to change being told by either Cassandra or Lawrence. There's a name at the beginning of each to indicate who's narrating.
  • You Are Grounded!: Happens to Cassandra twice. First when she gets caught swimming in a neighbour's pool after hours, and again when her mom meets Lawrence and finds out Cassandra's been lying to her about "nightly jogs".
