  • Bob peering at his secretary's cleavage while he talks to Ruth on the phone.
  • The sight of Meryl Streep, though beautiful, in a candy pink prom dress has become more hilarious over time.
  • Ruth's fangirling over the fact that she just spilled wine on Mary Fisher, the famous author, which is punctuated by a Valley Girl style twang.
  • The Montage where Ruth illustrates what she'll do to be the Perfect Wife and bring Bob back, while Bob and Mary continue their affair. All with parody.
  • The scene at the supermarket where Ruth is shopping. She's eating from an opened bag of chips as she shops. Meanwhile, little Andrew is randomly stabbing milk cartons.
  • Mary and Bob's sex scenes.
    • One time she thinks Bob is going to give her "head" and throws a fit about being lonely and keeps him with her longer, where she starts going "downtown". Cut to Ruth cutting a zucchini to pieces.
  • Ruth tells Bob she's going to weigh herself. He then mutters "No wonder you're upset."
  • The whole Dinner Party with Bob's parents is an Epic Fail.
    • Ruth tripping in one of her high heels and landing ungracefully.
      Bob's Mother: (concerned) Is it that time of the month?
    • Ruth scraping off the burnt heart-shaped biscuits.
    • Herbie the Pet ended up in the Cream of Mushroom soup.
    • Ruth's breakdown and Bob's tantrum where a lot of secrets are revealed.
  • The explosion, the house looks as though it's made of balsa wood and is put together with glue.
    • When Ruth explains to her kids what happened to the house
      Ruth: Well, we had a little accident...
    • How Ruth deadpans what happened to her kids' questions about what happened to their tapes, clothes, and toys.
      Ruth: Gone.
    • Bob and Mary's afternoon delight get interrupted by Ruth and Garcia the Butler with the kids.
      Andrew: I found him!
      Nicolette: (disgusted) Hi Daddy.
      • Getting acquainted with a naked Mary.
      Andrew: Do you have a satellite dish?
      • Garcia figures a bit what Ruth is up to and gives her a knowing wink.
  • Bob's accidental Mr. Fanservice moment after yelling at an outgoing Ruth.
  • Mary Fisher is all decked out and nagging Nicolette in a very un-ladylike manner.
    • While on the phone, Bob is flirting with a woman in the car.
  • Mary Fisher's exaggerated and girly Drama Queen tendencies.
  • Mrs. Fisher minus the sedatives.
    • Deriding one of her daughter's novels as "trash"
    • Asking Ruth to sneak her a beer.
  • Ute the maid

    • When being asked to do the laundry after Bob's kids came to live with them
      Fuzzy just shit all over the carpet. Unless Miss Fisher would like to clean that up and Ute do the laundry?
  • Mary's Epic Fail at laundry
    • Mixing the colors and whites, dumping half a bottle of bleach in the washer, dumping several sheets of fabric softener, and slamming the door shut on her thumb where she ruins her perfect pink manicure.
      • She losing her ladylike composure when the bell rings.
      • Mrs. Fisher's arrival is very loud.
      (to Garcia) I bet she makes you earn every penny!
    • Nicolette's and Andrew's clothes stained with bleach.
  • Dinner
    • The aforementioned clothes
    • Mrs. Fisher has No Indoor Voice or manners.
    • Garcia giving Nicolette a knowing wink
    • Mary getting angrier and angrier.
  • Mary's People interview is a fail
    • The "tea" is Yoo-Hoo delivered by Garcia
    • Mrs. Fisher spilling all the secrets about Mary.
      Reporter: So, tell me about your son
      Photographer: (to a visibly shocked Mary) Miss Fisher, smile.
  • Mary's exhaustion takes a toll on her and her appearance. She then gives a dramatic fit at Bob and he isn't falling for it.
  • Mary's breakdown after finding out Bob was cheating on her. Also a CMOA.
  • Olivia Honey's arrival at Bob's office, after she strolls through the secretarial pool, all his secretaries look with amusement and knowledge of what will come next.
    • Bob hires Olivia just after she introduces herself.
  • Mary cracking Bob's knuckles when they meet their lawyer.
  • Mary failing (or not?) to recognize Ruth with Ruth's eyes glittering.
    • Mary flirting with a handsome Latin intellectual.
    Ruth: People can change—(Smash Cut to Mary removing her newly acquired Nerd Glasses to bat her eyes at her interviewer)—but don't expect miracles.
