  • How about Ruth blowing up her house? She writes down her list of Bob's self-named assets. Turns on the TV to a very violent music video, she tosses several inappropriate objects like a clothing iron into the washer and turns it on, turns on the hair drier and leaves it on a bed then covering it with pillows, takes a knife and inserts it into an electric mixer and turns on the mixer, lights several cigarettes and tosses them into a wastebasket full of paper, leaves the cooking gas stove on, inserts all the cords into an extension before plugging them in, aerosol spray cans into the microwave, knocks off the fire alarm, gets the dog out of the house, puts a towel under several doors, takes her purse, takes the paperwork for Mary Fisher's account, puts on her lipstick, and does an Unflinching Walk as her house explodes behind her. That is the perfect recipe for an exploding house.
  • Ruth replacing the pills which cuts to a soccer game played by the seniors. Ruth manages to convince Hooper not to turn her in.
Hooper: I know what you’ve been doing! The vitamins! The workouts! It's against the rules! I’m going to report you to Mrs. Trumper and then you'll be sorry!
Ruth: Oh, I don't think so. I have been sorry my whole life, and from the looks of it, so have you. So you do whatever you want. It's a shame though, Hooper. I always thought that women like us should stick together.
  • After being left aside after the affair, Garcia lets Mary know what's what when she demands he do the laundry.
Garcia: I may be the butler, but I'm not the maid.
  • As much as a bitch she may be, the head of the Golden Twilight Home gives Mary the dressing down she deserves for the treatment of her mother.
Mrs. Trumper: [Mrs. Fisher] doesn't need nursing. She needs TLC.
Mary: What is that, a new drug?
Mrs. Trumper: Tender Loving Care. Something that I'm sure you, as her daughter, can provide. Good day, Miss Fisher.

Judge Brown: It is true that the defendant has no criminal record and is a well-respected member of the community. But the fact remains that, the defendant stole large sums of money from his clients. In doing so, Mr. Patchett has not only broken a sacred trust, he has shaken the public's faith in accountants everywhere.
    • Ruth's scathing stare when he yells for her help as he's getting arrested.
Ruth: Poor Bob, I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
