Escaping Dad is a 2017 American made-for-TV thriller film on Lifetime, starring Sunny Mabrey, Jason Wiles and Courtney Henggeler.
A young woman named Erin Lattimer goes on the run with her two children, Amy and Charlie, to escape her abusive husband Darren.

- Nice Girl: Stacy. She is a very nice person and cares deeply about her best friend Erin that she asks her to come live with her in California if Darren endangers her and the children.
- Nice Guy: Wes and Jason.
- Road Trip Plot: Erin, Amy and Charlie drive for miles to arrive at Santa Barbara, while making several stops for gas, food etc. until the police get the car and Wes takes them to California in his truck.
- Shoddy Shindig: Erin and Darren's 10th wedding anniversary party isn't terrible but it's still pretty uncool, due to Darren being mean and wiping Erin's lipstick off with his spit in the bedroom.
- Surprise Pregnancy: Stacy is revealed to be pregnant which she secretly reveals to Erin. It has been only two months, though she hasn't told Jason yet.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Darren has this reaction when he finds out that he had paid for two dresses when Erin spent $500 from his account at the mall.
- You're Not My Father: Amy tells Darren he's not her dad when he tells her boyfriend Jake to leave.
