Starting after Banagher rescues Mineva/Audrey from the Anaheim executives, the Unicorn Gundam's Psychoframe suddenly activates and opens up a black hole, dragging the pilot in. Next thing he knows, he's fallen into a world where women have a higher place in society thanks to the Infinite Stratos that's only operable by females. What's more, his Unicorn Gundam has been mysteriously converted into an IS, complete with all of its equipment and abilities. In order to have shelter until he can find a way home, Banagher is forced to attend the most prestige IS academy in Japan, technically making him the second male to pilot an IS after Ichika Orimura. But other forces have their eyes on him and his Gundam, waiting for to strike.
The fanfic is an interesting take on what would happen if a Gundam really became an IS. Although the plot continues to develop, results are...interesting.
So far, it's reached its eighth chapter with an updated revision.
Tropes in this fanfic:
- Adaptational Badass: Ichika becomes more competent in fighting thanks to training with Banagher and Houki. He even uses the same trick the former used against Cecilia to fight Rin.
- Break the Haughty: Cecilia ends up broken after a humiliating loss against Banagher. After Banagher has a talk with her, not only she recovers, she also falls for him.
- Brutal Honesty: Chifuyu makes absolutely no attempt to hide that Banagher will be in constant danger while living in the IS world, thanks to the absurd power of his “IS”.
- Bullying a Dragon: During the match, Cecelia mocks Banagher’s IS for its goofy design. Then the beatdown comes...
- Curb-Stomp Battle: How the first match between Banagher and Cecilia went down.
- Deconstruction: The sexist and xenophobic comments Cecilia make during her debut aren't simply glossed over like in canon, as not only does Banagher call her out on them but he also brings to her attention the fact that she's pissed off practically the entire class. Turns out publicly insulting the Japanese in a room primarily comprised of Japanese people doesn't earn you many friends. Who would have thought? This leads to Cecilia apologizing to the entire class after her defeat.
- Defeat Means Friendship: Cecilia goes beyond that. She falls in love with the guy that defeated her.
- Martial Pacifist: Banagher is still using this kind of tactics, as he shows during his fight against Cecilia. Rather than attacking her directly, he focuses in disarming his opponent until she couldn’t keep fighting.
- In his fight against Rin, Ichika uses the same tactic.
- Mugging the Monster: Cecilia challenges a Gundam pilot who's experienced the horrors of warfare to an IS match. Granted, she had no idea what she was getting into, but if Banagher wasn’t a Martial Pacifist she would be signing her own death warrant.
- Outside-Context Problem: If Ichika, a boy, piloting an IS wasn't enough, then Banagher and the Unicorn more than take the cake. The creator even states that Unicorn is technically an anti-IS...IS.
- Also a Deconstruction of the idea of transforming a Super Prototype Real Robot into an IS. Being trapped alone in the IS world with the most powerful robot of his world means that if word of the true nature of Banagher and the Unicorn spreads, he will be surrounded by people with selfish interests who want to put their hands on it. Chifuyu makes no attempt to hide this danger.
Chifuyu: "Your 'IS' is rather unorthodox in its appearance, with just enough weaponry to make it dangerous, but not stand out. What you did out there...Links, you are going to have a lot of people, companies, and officials coming to acquire about your IS. - Villainous Breakdown: While she isn’t villainous as much as she is an Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy, Cecilia undergoes this when she loses horribly to Banagher. She got better.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Banagher gives one to Chifuyu Orimura of all people when he thinks she is taking Cecilia's injuries too lightly. Orimura had to threaten him as a last resort to put him under control.
- What Year Is It?: Banagher still believes he's in the Universal Century after falling into the black hole. Maya and Chifuyu correct him that their world still uses the AD calendar, ten years after it was abandoned in his home world.
- Willfully Weak: Banagher deliberately holds back the Gundam when it tries to activate the NT-D system in response to Cecilia's bits. For those who know the NT-D system, failing to suppress it means a lot of things going horribly wrong.
