Jester, Meet Your Son, The Moon is a fanfic written by penthepoet. It’s a crossover of Persona 5 and Persona 4.
The premise is simple: Yuuki Mishima in this verse is the illegitimate child of Mayumi Yamano and Tohru Adachi. When a released Adachi learns about this, he reluctantly decides to go and try to be dad to his son. All the while, Yuuki has to deal with how his dad is not exactly one of the greatest people out there.
And then they caught up with the Phantom Thieves and their quest…

- Exact Words: During the confrontation with Akechi on the Cruise Ship, Adachi declares that Goro Akechi must die. He promptly kills the cognition version of him.
- Eye Scream: Adachi shoots out one of Akechi’s eyes in their final confrontation. He later gets a glass eye to compensate for it.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: After Dojima ends up in the Velvet Room after his cognition is erased, Adachi snaps him out of his delusions it by punching him in the face.
- Happily Married: Yu and Yosuke are this now
- Karmic Death: For making other people’s shadow go berserk on his father’s behalf, Goro saw it only fitting to drive Shido berserk as well.
- Meaningful Rename: Yuuki eventually starts going by his birth name during the events of Sae’s Palace. He briefly goes back after his cognition is erased until Takashi snaps him out of it.
- After Akechi is adopted into the Adachi family, he changes his name to Kazuma Adachi to hide from the rest of the world.
- Monster Clown: Adachi's Phantom Thief attire gives him the look of a demonic jester.
- Morality Pet: The Dojima family and Yuuki are basically this for Adachi
- Named by the Adaptation: Joker’s real name in this fic is Takashi Kido
- Related in the Adaptation: Yuuki and Adachi, of course
- Joker’s father is Reiji Kido from the original Persona game.
- Sequel Hook: The epilogue provides a few of these
- Inspired by his dreams of alternate realities, Adachi proposes that the three Persona groups combine into one in case of another emergency. This group is dubbed “Masquerade”.
- Philemon meets up with Nyarlathotep who says they’ll be playing another game against Adachi’s group soon enough.
- Nanako, tired of being Locked Out of the Loop, meets up with someone who could provide her answers. Said person is named Shuji Ikutsuki.
- Ship Tease: Dojima and Adachi get this in spades
- Spared by the Adaptation: Adachi is able to save Kunikazu from being killed by the Black Mask.
- Akechi is ultimately spared as well and adopted into the Adachi-Dojima family.
- Tarot Motifs: After his deal with Philemon to become Philemon, Adachi gains his own set of Confidants. While some like Takahashi, Ann, Iwai, and Akechi have the same arcana they have in game, they are new ones. They are:

- Yakuza: Dojima’s shadow takes this form, representing his desire to be free of his duties as a loving dad and dutiful police officer, as well as his secret love for Adachi.
