First Date

After realizing their feelings for one another and becoming a couple in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", Luz and Amity finally decide to have a day for themselves. How will the romance between a teenage witch and a teenage human go?

First Date contains the following examples:
- Comedic Sociopathy: King wants Luz to use his “enemies” at the playground for ritual sacrifice when she momentarily thinks that might be required for a Boiling Isles date.
- Date Peepers: Eda, with King and Hooty in tow, decides to spy on Luz’s first date, having been a victim of the same thing by her own parents before. Edric and Emira independently decide to spy on things out of sibling responsibility, and they all rope Gus and Willow into it as well.
- Everyone Can See It: As per canon, Luz and Amity's feelings for each other were incredibly obvious, to the point that the general reaction to learning that they're a couple now is along the lines of "Finally!".
- Instantly Proven Wrong: When trying to assure Amity that they won't keep running into people they know at the carnival, Luz is proven wrong mid sentence as they come across Bosha's posse.
- Mama Bear: Eda nearly assaults Bosha when she overhears the bully insulting Luz, and has to be restrained by Willow.
- Nice Girl: Luz, as her name would suggest, is a walking ball of light and is even tolerant of Hooty’s annoying obsession with her romantic life.
- Noodle Incident: Hooty somehow became an ordained minister of the Church of the Titan at some point.Eda: Wait, what? When did that happen?Hooty: I have a whole secret life you know nothing about!
- Only Sane Man: Willow is the only person in the group of Date Peepers who think that maybe they shouldn't be spying on Luz and Amity, and only goes along with it to keep the others from going overboard.
- Shipper on Deck:
- Hooty is an overtly enthusiastic version of this trope, not only making a "ship" name for Amity and Luz but even writing down names for their potential children. He also offers to officiate their eventual wedding.
- While less enthusiastic about it than Hooty, literally everyone else (except Bosha) is also shown to have been shipping Luz and Amity and are happy to see them having gotten together.
- Shout-Out: Eda's long list of crimes includes something called "burgerbezzelment" that she apparently learned from an ex.
- Side Bet: Skara was apparently running a betting pool on when Luz and Amity would get together.
- Take That!: Tiny Nose pops up at one point to rant about how they're all playthings of the "Giant Mouse" who will destroy them all once they "no longer fit its brand" (the official excuse for why The Owl House was cancelled). Luz and Amity don't take this seriously, and ask what that's even supposed to mean.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: When hearing how an Alpha Bitch at Luz's Human Realm school cruelly rejected her attempt to ask her out, Amity swears to track her down and punch her teeth in once the portal door is rebuilt.
