Beezuku is a My Hero Academia fanfic by The_Mad_Mystic. on Archive of Our Own.

Izuku gets an unexpected hitchhiker during his ten-month training period.

The bees are cool and all, but does she have to tease him about a harem?!

This fic has examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: Izuku gains the ability to command bee swarms from Kuin and later gains wings and an exoskeleton after One for All supercharges Kuin's powers.
  • Adaptational Deviation:
    • According to All Might, the person that Himiko stabbed actually enjoyed it since he actually was a masochist.
    • Overhaul is no longer leader of the Shie Hassaikai because Eri de-aged him into a three-year-old before beating the stuffing out of him.
  • Adaptational Heroism:
    • Kuin Hachisuka helps Izuku out in his journey to become a hero rather than help partake in criminal activities.
    • Himiko Toga never joins the League of Villains since Izuku meets her first, enabling her to have a friend who accepts her for who she is.
  • Adaptational Karma: Himiko's parents are stripped of legal guardianship over their daughter thanks to their actions being counted as abuse, neglect, and endangerment under the law.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Kuin is far less homicidal and malevolent compared to canon both because much of the negative traits she previously had wore off by the time she attached herself to Izuku, not to mention how Izuku's own kindness and desire to be a hero bleed into her Mind Hive over time.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Kirishima discovers that he's bisexual after he ends up pinned by Izuku during Hero training.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: Izuku receives Kuin's ability to control bees after she implants herself into one of his eye sockets and later manifests an armor-like exoskeleton and bee wings after receiving One for All.
  • Beyond the Impossible: All Might manages to brutalize the USJ Nomu, an undead bioengineered monstrosity that cannot feel any pain, so thoroughly that it ends up begging for someone to put it out of its misery.
  • Butt-Monkey: Bakugo becomes one by virtue of his crippling fear of bees, with everything deriving humor from his situation stemming from his many attempts to avoid being around Izuku, who is now a walking, talking personification of his apiphobia.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: Kirishima decides to ask Izuku out as the two of them are falling from the sky during their first Hero Training class.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The USJ incident is a complete flop for the League of Villains thanks to Uraraka beating the tar out of Shigaraki, All Might having enough strength to beat the Nomu they brought along black and blue, and Izuku turning it into a meat puppet with his bees.
  • Eaten Alive: Izuku sends a swarm of bees into the USJ Nomu that devours it from the inside out.
  • Eye Scream: The story begins with Kuin impaling herself into Izuku's eye.
  • I Want Grandkids: Inko tends to encourage Izuku's relationships with Himiko and Ochako because she desires grandbabies.
  • Karmic Butt-Monkey: Considering how Bakugo was a brutish and unpleasant bully towards Izuku before he was bonded with Kuin Hachisuka and received One for All from All Might, every humiliating situation Bakugo ends up is basically well-deserved payback for his actions.
  • Puppeteer Parasite: Kuin originally wanted to use Izuku's body as a new host for her to puppet ever since she was expelled from Pop☆Step. In an aversion of this trope, Izuku's mind remains intact while Kuin provides him with her powers, with their relationship closer to a mutualistic partnership that helps both sides.
  • Shipper on Deck: Kuin enjoys pairing Izuku up with various people for her amusement.
  • Springtime for Hitler: Bakugo attempts to flunk himself out of UA at every turn just so he doesn't have to be around Izuku all the time, yet utterly fails at that since his actions are mistaken for valorous conduct by the teachers.
  • Through His Stomach: Izuku manages to (somehow) woo Himiko and Uraraka with his honey, which is incredibly sweet and tasty.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: In Bakugo's case, he is absolutely terrified of bees. There doesn't seem to be any real reason for it, as his parents aren't aware of any traumatic incidents in his past involving bees and he's not allergic, but he's still willing to literally go out windows to avoid bees, and he's actually tried to drop out of UA, his dream school, just to get away from Izuku.
