Drinking Game / Family Feud

Go To

  • If you're brave enough, see how many shots you can gulp down when the end credits of the ABC Grand Finale episode roll.
  • Take a sip every time someone shouts "Good answer!" You'll be on the floor in no time. Then take a second drink if the host (probably Steve Harvey) complains that it's not a good answer.
  • At the end of every round, take one drink for each remaining answer on the board. Finish your drink if neither team gets the number one answer.

  • Take a drink every time someone says "$20,000".
  • Take a drink every time the car is mentioned.
  • Take a drink whenever there is a question that's not family-friendly.
  • Take a drink every time Harvey chews on a contestant for giving a stupid answer.
  • Take a drink if an answer on the board obviously wasn't said verbatim in the survey, represented by quotation marks, an Unusual Euphemism (e.g. "Slap some salami" for "Make love"), Double Entendre (e.g. "Do me" appearing next to "eyes") or shock value (e.g. "Herpes" next to "Illness").
  • Take a drink every time someone forgets the Pass/Play option and immediately runs back to their family after the Face-Off.
    • Take a drink if someone actually Passes on a main game question. Take another if it's on a pre-Harvey episode.
  • Take a drink if the opponents of a family with two strikes do at least one of the following:
  • From the Karn versions onward, finish your drink if a team going into the Triple round with zero points wins the game.
  • If you're watching a version with the Bullseye/Bankroll round, take a drink if neither player comes up with the number one answer.

    • Take a drink if a family is left with only their base amount ($2,500/$5,000) at the end of the round. Take two if it's both.
    • Take a drink every time Ray Combs asks, "Will the x family play for $x,000? Or will the y family play for $y,000?"
  • Take a drink when an answer gets zero points in Fast Money. Finish your drink if none of the player's answers get any points.
  • Take a sip every time Richard Dawson kisses a female contestant. Take two drinks if this is Lampshaded on later versions.
  • Take a drink every time John O'Hurley jumps in fake-surprise when the double-buzzer sounds in Fast Money.
  • If you're watching the Ray Combs version, take a drink if he comes onstage with his handheld microphone. Take two if he doesn't.
  • Take a drink every time Combs says, "Think of a steal."
  • Take a drink every time Harvey says, "Let's go," "Come on," or "Here we go." Or if he tells us, "We got a good one."

  • Take a drink if Harvey tells the losing family they look good on TV.
  • If you're watching the 1994-95 Richard Dawson version, take a drink each time Dawson mentions his wife or daughter. Take two if it's both.
  • Take a sip if an answer makes Harvey stare at the contestant in stunned silence.
  • Take a drink if an answer after the buzzer is accepted. Finish your drink if it affects the outcome or Fast Money.
  • Take a drink if the words "grandpa" or "grandma" appear in a Harvey-era question. Two if it's both.
  • Take a drink if someone presents Richard Dawson a gift.
    • Two if the family mentions that the gift is on behalf of their hometown.
  • Take a drink whenever Harvey comments that they're all going to Hell for whatever shenanigans are going on.
  • Take a drink whenever Harvey is the subject to a question.
    • If you're watching another host's version, two drinks if that host is the subject.
  • Take a drink whenever Harvey laughs at a question before reading it.
  • Take a drink whenever a Fast Money question begins with the following:
    • "On a scale of 1 to 10..."
    • "Name a word that rhymes with..."
    • "At what age..."
    • "Fill in the blank..."
    • "Name a (professional) sport..."
