A 36 page Stick Figure Graphic Novel by Kyle Jacobs. It was made as an assignment for English class to create a comic based on real life in response to Maus. The only copy was destroyed, and it is currently undergoing extensive rewriting.
The plot follows a lonely artist named Chris as his mind gradually breaks down due to his isolation.
This comic contains examples of:
- All of the Other Reindeer: So much so that after Chris's suicide, the other kids in his school freak out until they realize who died and then proceed to collectively ignore it.
- Arc Words: "Are you listening yet?"
- Art Shift: Both Chris's In-Universe paintings and the characters' shadows are drawn with much more detail than the characters themselves. Also, the panel borders are very ordered in the beginning, then grow more chaotic and eventually disappear altogether.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Chris is forcibly kept out of the social life of the school. He's entirely aware of this, but has no idea why.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: "John Retucci" makes an appearance at a meet-and-greet.
- Splash of Color: Everything is in black and white... except for the big red Xs that Chris eventually covers his work in.
