Tropes associated with her works:

  • Deadpan Snarker:
    • Her continuity announcer in Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV is constantly quipping sarcastic burns without changing her expression, although given her perpetual Stepford Smile it shades into Cute But Psycho.
    • Hillary Nicholson, her character in Mrs. Brown's Boys, always has to have a battle of wits with Agnes every time they meet. With Agnes winning of course.
  • Screen-to-Stage Adaptation: A stage adaptation of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em began a UK tour at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon in February 2018 starring Joe Pasquale as Frank Spencer, with Sarah Earnshaw as Betty and Susie Blake as Mrs. Fisher. Due to the success of the 2018 tour, the production began another tour in February 2020. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many dates were cancelled.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Mrs. Inglis—played by Blake, quite a big-name cameo—is the HR manager who fires Victor Meldrew in the first episode of ''One Foot in the Grave'. Thereby setting up the rest of the series. She even gets the opening line of the entire series but her role is over within the first ten minutes.
  • Take That, Audience!: A speciality of her continuity announcer in Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV, including such gems as "We'd like to apologise to viewers in the North. It must be awful for them."
