Kodi Smit-McPhee (born June 13, 1996 in Adelaide) is an Australian actor.
He is best known for playing Alexander in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Nightcrawler in the X-Men Film Series. He first gained recognition as an actor when he was a child in The Road and Let Me In. He also voiced the titular character of ParaNorman; he's done some other voice acting since. In 2021, he co-starred in the buzzy western The Power of the Dog.
Smit-McPhee has ankylosing spondylitis, a form of arthritis, and has spoken about how this diagnosis and its treatment has affected the way he plays his characters.
