- Canon Immigrant: If one assumes his name is Ash, he could be seen as the same Ash Ketchum from the Pokémon anime.
- Given the playthroughs of Pokémon Channel prior to the run, which featured a Pikachu, as well as clips from anime shorts, it has some context supporting this idea.
- Intrepid Reporter: Will turn into one of these, as the chat took his name as an indicator that he works for a major network. Cemented by the fact that one of the first things he did was watch the same news report over and over a half dozen times.
- Punny Name: ABBBCC/Alpha, the alphabet boy. Or alpha Bet-Boy.
- Sequence Breaking: Most protagonist names generally consist of almost all A's or sometimes a B, before slipping into a mess of other characters. This is the first host to have a name with the consecutive letters A B and C.
- Villain Protagonist: Some lore establishes that he's either a runwunner who wants to make the Voices' quest "great" again (in the same vein that Jimmy was a fanboy of the Voices) or that he'll grow up to be Baba's Arch-Enemy Bet-Boy.
