He also doesn't inform him about his belief in Georgie being a Siren when he tells him to send out a missing person report on her after these incidents result in Sybil getting away; however, he decides to come clean with Dorian, who becomes a valuable ally to the heroes for the rest of the season.
- Muggle: One of the human characters of season 8.
- Number Two: He is effectively Alaric's second-in-command among the faculty at the Salvatore School.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Justified because of not being informed about why he is doing it, but he stops hitting the tuning fork when he gets a call about the police finding Georgie's body and leaves to identify her, resulting in Sybil being able to escape from her cell since the fork was no longer blocking her powers. Her being left unsupervised because of everybody taking time to mourn Tyler.
- You Killed My Father: After Stefan is rendered human after being forcibly given the Cure, Dorian remembers that, during his days as Klaus' henchmen, Stefan murdered his father and little sister then compelled him to forget the experience. Dorian tries to murder Stefan in revenge but finds that he can't go through with it and tries to save his life after he shot him.

- Big Damn Kiss: Before Jade leaves the school, she makes sure Josie is okay after Josie breaks her leg and the two share a passionate kiss.
- Put on a Bus: Jade leaves the school in season 3, to see what else the world has to offer and hasn’t been heard from since.
