    Interview Core
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/underground_interview.png
Voiced by: Andrew Walker (original), Gregory Holgate (remastered)
I'm an Interview Sphere, programmed to ask questions. And my audience is here for answers. Now give it to me straight.

    Anthony and the Band
Voiced by: Mitchell McLeod
You know, Anthony, the guests we've had so far on this program haven't exactly been what I like to call "A-listers". Why don't we ever get anyone more intelligent, introspective. Someone like... me! I think it's because of you. Yeah, you're just driving them all away with all your sulking.
Interview Core

    Paranoia Core
Voiced by: Jennifer Tonna
Paranoia, can you believe it? That's not a tumor, they say, you're just paranoid. There's no chamber full of mantis men, you're just paranoid. But I know, I know!

    Protocol Core/ "Seventeen"
Voiced by: Mitchell McLeod
I'm not defective. I'm special.

    Elite Core
Voiced by: Peter Bird (original), Plarby (remastered)
Ah, good evening, sir.

    Ambition Core
Voiced by: Michael Ferretti
You think I'm gonna let the fact that I ain't got no hands keep me from flipping you the bird? Yeah! Check that out! I'm flipping you a whole damn ostrich!

    Ego Core/'Onathan
Voiced by: Sean Oxpring
An individual like me, with such an array of fascinating qualities, how would I even begin to tell you how I've been?

    Friendship Cores
Voiced by: Matthew Kowalewski (Blue), Pat Boivin (Yellow)
Well, me and dumbass over here are friendship cores. We were designed to simulate trust or something stupid like that.
Yellow

  • Body Horror: Blue and Yellow are two cores fused together from a crusher accident.
  • Loss of Identity: Happens to any core turned into a Party Escort Bot.

    Optimism Core
Voiced by: Lizzie Freeman
Wowwwwww! That's the fastest anyone has ever died on this chamber, great job!

An insufferably cheerful personality core interviewed in episode 8.

    The Storyteller
Voiced by: Sara Secora
Time...is this all the time we have? Yes, time. Such a great bounty, yet so little is given to us...

A mysterious core appearing in episode 11.

  • Allegory: The story she tells in her introductory episode is clearly one for the history of Aperture, albeit retold in a fairy tale motif.
  • The Cassandra: The Interview Core dismisses her tale and cryptic warnings as mere nonsense. Whether it becomes a Cassandra Truth or not remains to be seen.
  • Druid: Her yellow eye and moss-covered frame certainly gives off this vibe.
  • Odd Name Out: She simply calls herself "The Storyteller" without the "core" noun attached to her name.
  • Seers
  • Voice of the Legion: Her voice distorts to have such an effect at times.

    The Mainframe
Voiced by: Harry Callaghan
Hey! Sit there and be quiet! We still have a few more slots to fill.

  • Big Bad: Big? Yes. It also happens to be the one subjecting Interview Core to frequent defragmentation.
  • Soul Jar: If the storyteller's tale in episode 11 is any indication, he might be one for Cave Johnson.
