Amelia Dimoldenberg
interview series.- Cloud Cuckoolander: True to form from Chicken Shop Date, she presents as very awkward when interacting with Alex, and her prize task entry is a coffin she made for a fly.
- Sensory Overload: The spot-counting task features lots of sub-tasks, loud noises, vision-obscuring handicaps, etc that come in quick succession. These are so overwhelming that Amelia just freezes because she can't sort out what she's supposed to be doing.
Carol Vorderman
- Beware the Nice Ones: During the painting task, contestants are informed that they can throw a ball in a bucket to get another look at the scene they're the supposed to paint. When Carol asks where the bucket is, Alex tries to be his usual vague self. She then threatens to throw the balls at Alex and genuinely intimidates him.Alex: I'm not the bucket.
Carol: No, but if I hit you enough you might tell me where the bucket is.
Alex: [audibly frightened] The bucket's behind you. - The Determinator: During the booby-trapped carp pellet task, she spotted the broom and dust pan in the garden and, despite the task's caveat that she couldn't bend her knees nor bend at the waist, stubbornly found a way to get to the floor and brush up as many spilt pellets as she could to maximise her score.
- Hidden Depths: For the prize task, she offers up a large van converted into a camper that she spends up to five months of the year in — which comes as a surprise to Greg and the rest of the studio as the public typically view her as a refined person with a taste for the finer things.
- The Smart Girl: She's famous for her ability to solve Countdown's Numbers Rounds quickly in her head. During the spot-counting task, she works out a system that brings her very close to the correct answer.
Greg James
- Achievements in Ignorance: During the spot-counting task, he's the only member of the panel who decides to answer the ringing phone which provides him the correct answer.
- All for Nothing: Although he received the correct answer for the spot-counting task, he manages to get things muddled. Still, he won the task.
- One-Steve Limit: His appearance marks the first time another "Greg" has appeared on the programme. At one point, Alex points out that the Taskmaster has jotted down "Greg Davies" where he meant to write "Greg James".Greg Davies: Hello, Greg.

Sir Mo Farah, CBE, OLY
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Whilst in the middle of the special's painting task, he gets completely distracted from what he is supposed to be doing once Alex uses a scalp massager on his head. According to Alex, Sir Mo found the sensation overwhelming, ignored what he should have been doing, and spent the rest of the allotted time receiving a scalp massage and giggling.
- The Pollyanna: Although often confused at the nature of the tasks presented to him, he threw himself at everything with gusto and good cheer.Sir Mo: Hello! WHOOO!!!
Rebecca Lucy Taylor
- Achievements in Ignorance: Crawls on the floor during the third task, meaning she avoids the various boobytraps by pure chance, and ends up finishing a close second behind Mo.
- Ascended Fangirl: Cannot stop grinning at being on the show.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Subverted - while she's best known by her stage name Self Esteem, she is consistently referred to as Rebecca.
- Straw Feminist: Played for laughs when Greg tries and fails to start a rivalry between Carol and Rachel Riley, her replacement on Countdown.Rebecca: Classic toxic masculinity pitting women against each other...
