Nezura
- Adaptational Nice Guy: They were the antagonists of their own movie, but in the series' continuity they're harmless gentle giants that are indifferent towards humans.
- Rodents of Unusual Size: That's basically what Nezura are: giant rats.
The Kobukarappa family
In general
- Dishing Out Dirt: Both members of the species are excellent diggers and burrowers.
- Giant Enemy Crab: Downplayed. The Kobukarappa species are mostly docile towards humans, only attacking if provoked.
- Sea Monster: This kaiju species spends much of their lives underwater and spends part of it on land, and they can mainly be found in saltwater habitats.
Marukobukarappa
- Berserker Rage: After being disturbed by a drilling site in Niue, one of the Marukobukarappa becomes angered and destroys the drill site within minutes.

The Garasharps
In general
- Beware the Nice Ones: Garasharp are usually calm, placid and docile towards humans. That being said, they're absolutely aggressive, violent, and destructive when angered or disturbed.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Crossed with Tunnel King, because Garasharp are excellent burrowers, and can tunnel underground at fast speeds.
- The Great Serpent: Garasharp are known to be the largest kaiju species to date.
- Small Role, Big Impact: Several of them have attacked Atlantis in the past, which led to the Atlanteans creating the Gyaos and eventually Jiger, Gamera, Monga, Bakoro, and Iris.
- Snakes Are Sinister: Averted. The Garasharp are merely a kaiju species driven by pure instinct rather than malice. If anything, they were only trying to survive.
Garasharp ♀
- Because You Were Nice to Me: After Gamera protected her eggs and her offspring from a Gyaos that was about to eat them and brought them and her to Wester Island, she expresses gratitude towards the giant turtle.
- Mama Bear: The female Garasharp is very protective of her eggs and offspring, and will do anything to protect them. Gamera learned this the hard way when the female Garasharp gave him a huge Curb-Stomp Battle just to keep her eggs safe, and upon learning why she was so aggressive, he decides to spare her.
- Spared By Adaptation: Unlike in the short film where she originated from, Garasharp doesn't get killed.
Garasharp ♂
- Berserk Button: The male Garasharp is clearly pissed off at Gamera for "killing" his family. Little did he know...
- Heel Realization: Once Gamera brings the male Garasharp to Wester Island, he realizes Gamera didn't kill his family as he had mistakenly assumed.
- Papa Wolf:
