Adaptational Villainy: Due to being a Composite Character of Phone Guy, he qualifies as he is William Afton himself.
Deconstructed Character Archetype: He actually serves as one for the character of William Afton, behind the idea of him being a Corrupt Corporate Executive. Turns out running a company that had many disappearances of children, along with countless injuries and deaths of employees will land Afton in hot water, with the Board of Better Business Bureau threatening to shut down his company.
Evil Uncle: Serves as this towards Elizabeth.
For the Evulz: Seems to be his only motivation.
Knight of Cerebus: Zigg-Zagged. While he is bombastic with his performance (which is given due to the actor), Afton’s crimes are played straight with the prequel series darkening the atmosphere.
