Haro
A mysterious owl who regales the Lamb with tales of the past, shrouded as they may be.
- Mr. Exposition: His primary role is to shed light upon the Backstory.
- The Owl-Knowing One: He's an owl who appears to be a historian of sorts, providing the Lamb with information about the setting's lore.
- The Spook: While few, if any, of the NPCs get much in the way of backstory, it's fairly easy to understand their main deals. With Haro, you never really know what he's about; you just keep encountering him camping in the Lands of the Old Faith, and he never tells you anything about himself, and simply tells the player of the events that shaped the world.
Flinky
- No-Sell: His Mithridatism card grants anyone who draws it complete immunity to poison.
- Sssssnake Talk: Speaks like this at times.
Klunko and Bop
- An Arm and a Leg: Klunko is missing a hand due to betting it in a game of Knucklebones.
- The Dividual: The two are never apart, and their nametag refers to the two as a single unit (though all dialogue is spoken through Klunko, who also acts as Bop's interpreter).
- The Gambling Addict: Klunko admits that he has a problem with gambling, as it's the reason he lost his hand. He still plans to win it back.
- Major Injury Underreaction: Klunko doesn't seem all too bothered about losing his hand to a bet with Shrumy. If anything, he finds it hilarious and will crack a few jokes about it.
- Nice Guy: They're nicer than Ratau's other friends, and tell the Lamb not to feel bad for losing to them because they gave it their best shot.
- Noodle Incident: After encountering Bop's brother Berith, you may catch Klunko and Bop engaged in a conversation about Bop doing something that made Berith not wish to speak with him anymore, with Klunko playfully calling Bop a "scoundrel" in response. However, it's never exactly revealed what it is that Bop did.
- Voice for the Voiceless: Bop never has any dialogue of his own, and relies on Klunko to speak on his behalf.
Shrumy
- Bullying a Dragon: Antagonizes the Lamb despite knowing exactly what they are and what they're capable of.
- Inadequate Inheritor: Treats the Lamb as one, insisting they'll never be able to measure up to how Ratau ran his cult.
- Jerkass: Is never anything but snooty and rude to the Lamb whenever they interact. Will even joke about wanting to win a lamb chop to go with Klunko's hand, which Shrumy apparently won off of him in a high-stakes bet.
The Mushroomos
Followers of Sozo that travel around Anura in search of Menticide Mushrooms.
- Butt-Monkey: They suffer a lot from Sozo's abuse. The Lamb can also kill them for Menticide Mushrooms, being the only friendly characters you can outright kill in a crusade (and this can happen without you even trying to kill them, as a Vesta demon will automatically start targeting them as soon as they're in range). A new scene in the Relics of the Old Faith update also has the Lighthouse Keeper see them and immediately call them hideous, to which they take offense. In Sins of the Flesh, Sozo as a follow will cartoonishly eat them.
- Eaten Alive: Once you recruit Sozo as a follower, he will occasionally ask that you retrieve one of the Mushroomos from Anura. However, he will then proceed to eat said Mushroomo, and will continue to do so for any subsequent Mushroomos you bring as long as you don't imprison him.
- Mushroom Man: They all resemble anthropomorphic mushrooms.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: They have bright red eyes similar to dissenting Followers or their leader Sozo when he eats a Menticide Mushroom. Subverted as they're completely harmless and seem to recognize how Sozo's abuse of the mushrooms is making him become increasingly unstable.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Downplayed, but in "Sins of the Flesh", The Mushroomos are the ones responsible for Sozo's madness, as they're the one's who made him hooked when he arrived in the Spore Grotto to study the Menticide Mushrooms.
