Sydney Sargent

One of the two main characters. The camp nurse who is also responsible for the pre-meal announcements.

• Abusive Parents: From what we've heard about his mother, she wasn't a very good person.
• Alliterative Name: Sydney Sargent.
• Curse: Sydney has one that makes him unable to eat anything except buttered bread.
• Dead All Along: The season one finale reveals that Sydney died a few years before the events of the series, but Jedediah brought him back somehow.
• Friend to Bugs: He has a collection of pet worms.
• Friend to All Children: The kids at camp adore Sydney, and he cares about them immensely. He is very open with them about the strange goings-on at the camp (Much to the chagrin of his coworkers) because he believes they have the right to not be in the dark about things.
• Hallucinations: Has had issues with these in the past. He briefly suspects that the Elephant Man might be one, but quickly dissmisses the thought as the Elephant Man is different from his past hallucinations.
• Meaningful Name: Sydney's initials spell out S.O.S.

One of the two main characters. The assistant nurse to Sydney.

• Arbitrary Skepticism: Despite working at a camp where strange supernatural happenings are very common, he is at first doubtful that the Elephant Man exists.
• Lab Coat Of Science And Medicine: He is described as wearing one.

A counsellor from Cabin Magpie Moth.

• Psychic Powers: He receives psychic forecasts of upcoming meteorological events.
• Relationship Upgrade: As of the season one finale, he and Juniper have been getting cozy.

• Nice Guy: He means well, but is incurably very stupid and annoying.
• The Friend Nobody Likes: Most of the camp staff don't seem to think very highly of him, and he's often the first to be suspected when things go wrong.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: With Yvonne, his co-counsellor.

• Ambiguous Species: It's unclear just what he is, but judging from the description of his appearance and the sounds he makes, he probably isn't human.
• The Faceless: His head is described as a cloud of scribbles.
• Intelligible Unintelligible: Sydney seems to be able to understand him just fine.
• The Unintelligible: He only communicates in a strange, almost indescribable sound.

Two delivery guys, both named Tony.

• One-Steve Limit: Averted. They're both called Tony.
• Those Two Guys: They always appear as a pair.

Adam

A demon who shows up in some of Sydney's dreams.

• Early-Bird Cameo: He makes a handful of appearances in season one, prior to his formal debut in season two.
• Our Demons Are Different: Adam is not a demon in the traditional sense, as there is no heaven/hell system in Camp Here & There's universe.
• Punny Name: His name is a pun on the phrase "Up and at 'em".
