SPN 4

The chosen fan-made monsters selected for the fourth SPN. For easy reference, kaiju marked with an asterisk are the Evolved for the SPN-5 set.

     Mykitas

  • Bio-Augmentation: Mykitas is implied in that it can change its form depending on what kind of biomass it absorbs.
  • The Determinator: Mykitas is basically unable to feel pain/injury, and can still come at you, even if reduced to small bits.
  • Festering Fungus: Noted that Mykitas likes to spread its fungus into open wounds, resulting in festering surfaces which can become lethal.
  • Fungus Humongous: Mykitas is basically one giant fungus throughout the body
  • Gorn: While this is not part of the card itself, Word of God implies the Soviet bomber crew and the first Soviet rescue team ran into the partially-reanimated Mykitas, leaving behind blood (and a few torsos that had been speared). Also, Mykitas card in Meta is stated to be one of the nastier card in the series, with its entire back being burst open, a man's face being dissolved/melted by a spore (Word of God states the spore is actually merging with his face) and multiple accounts of bodies falling apart and hidden by spore clouds, (theory as to why only four people are seen).
  • Meaningful Name: The word (or name in this case) Mykitas translates to Fungus in Greek.
  • Nuclear Mutant: Mykitas' fungus was hit with a nuclear blast while lying dormant inside the body of the former kajiu it had inhabited.
  • Nuke 'em: It was awakened by a nuclear bomb.
  • Power-Up: Mykitas can gain two energy tokens when he grapples (when it becomes implemented).
  • Puppeteer Parasite: While it is in this case fungus, it still applies, as the original being is still present (in some ways) and being manipulated.
  • Rewrite: The origin was changed from an ancient fungus revived by leaking bombs to ancient fungus revived by nuclear detonation.
  • The Virus: It is said on his card that Mykitas can reanimate some defeated kajiu as his servants.

     Shamble

Created by the nuclear byproducts of a negligent company, Shamble was originally a colony of worms grown to humongous size. Later they would encounter a kaiju and kill it, then burrow into its body and reanimate it, replacing its head with four of the colony's biggest individuals.

  • Big Eater: Shamble is not called The Walking Hunger for nothing, it consumes anything that happens to be close by.
  • Deader than Dead: The only way to get rid of the colony for good, kill each and every worm without letting any of them get away.
  • Explosive Breeder: The more Shamble eats, the more the worms multiply, in a self-perpetuating cycle that will continue as long as Shamble eats.
  • Gender Bender: Not so much a gender bend, rather just using one of the genders that already applies.
  • Gorn: The card art shows Shamble in the ruins of a city, firing an acidic blast that is vaporizing two people, much to the horror of another.
  • Hermaphrodite: Worms are hermaphrodites in real life.
  • Hive Mind: How the worms coordinate with each other and control the kaiju host body.
  • Hollywood Acid: The Corrosive Jaws attack, teeth lined with digestive juice that can eat through most anything.
  • Horror Hunger: And not just limited to human flesh but also your dog, your house, and your entire street. And it is never, ever satisfied.
  • Nuclear Mutant: Shamble was created by nuclear energy, and can use a Nuclear Blast.
  • Puppeteer Parasite: Shamble is a colony of worms that has taken control of a kaiju corpse, so while it's not alive the worms are still limited by what they can do with the body.
  • Synchronized Swarming: How the worms would move about normally, and then how they'd coordinate the host body's movements.
  • Villainous Glutton: Not so much villainous, but definitely gluttonous, Shamble's hunger is unending. See also her title, "The Walking Hunger." Shamble will eat anything and anyone that happens to be close by.
  • The Worm That Walks: The entire colony of worms controls a kaiju's deceased body and make it walk around and fight.
