Reana Forte

An 18 year old gunsmith apprentice who finds the injured Kairak during a routine glider flight. She volunteers to heal him, but the dragon pearl ends up fusing with her in the process. She agrees to have Kairak live with her for a year until he matures and is powerful enough to remove it from her.

Kairak

The last dragon on earth. He can't go very far from Reana since the dragon pearl is the source of his power.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Being a dragon, he doesn't really understand a lot about human interactions.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Does not like it when other men show any level of interest in Reana.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Seeing your beloved person die, no matter how many times you try to restart the whole universe for their sake must hurt...
  • He Is All Grown Up: His adult form in the dragon pearl.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: His eyes are a quite bright turquoise color, and seem to glow no matter how dark the lighting in the scene is. They make for very effective Death Glares.
  • Instant Expert: Immediately figures out how to assemble a rifle after being shown only once.
  • Last of His Kind: Played with. Kairak is not the last dragon period but simply the last one still living on the planet.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: His infatuation with Reana quickly grows into an unhealthy obsession. Not that anyone can blame him for that...
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: As he slowly becomes more obsessed with Reana, he starts acting more and more affectionate to keep her attention on him and him alone.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: With Kairak. She is often seen wearing pink, while he is heavily associated with blue-green.
  • Really 700 Years Old: When the story begins, he is 299 years old but looks about 12.

Didan

A small spirit, he serves as Kairak's guide (and by extension Reana's as well).
  • Fun Size: He can shift from his small form to his normal-sized form, but spends most of his time in the small form.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Initially only sees Reana as a tool for getting Kairak to maturity, and deliberately withholds important information from her.
