As befitting an Idol Singer anime, close to every song in the show is utterly awesome, with even the weaker songs still being enjoyable bops. Here are the songs considered so great the fans can't get enough of them.

     Songs from Season One
  • The first season's OP, "Adabana Necromancy", is one of those songs you can just keep playing over and over again, particularly the TV version with the opening credits, Sakura's monologue, and SFX. The English version of the OP is just as amazing as the original version. The full version of the song is just as awesome as the shortened version, if not more so.
  • "Mezame RETURNER". The girls' first song performed in public and ultimately the one which led to their fame, and it shows via an uplifting and empowering song. It even got an EDM remix in Episode 7, which is remixed again in Episode 4 of Revenge.
  • Despite the fact that it's literally a real life commercial jingle, the Franchouchou version of the Drive-In Tori jingle featured in Episode 5 is so catchy that you'll be craving yakitori chicken like Tae in moments' time.
  • "Atsuku Nare", which is featured in Episode 7, is a powerful rock ballad that brings Ai and Junko together at last, as they headline this song alongside the rest of the group.
  • Episode 8 brings out Lily's Image Song (and also brings in plenty of tears) in the form of "To My Dearest", which is a bittersweet sounding song that's inspired by classic Broadway ballads. It also has a special piano remix included as a bonus song in the "Best Of" album, as well.
  • "TOKKODANCE~DAWN OF THE BAD~", the power rock performance featured at the end of Episode 9 and putting Saki at the forefront. Just like the in-universe audience, this song gets you pumped like nobody's business.
  • Episode 12 brings in two awesome bangers in one go, with the first one featured being "YOMIGAERE", which is one of Franchouchou's main staples in-universe, but when it was shown off for the first time to the audience...it quite literally blew everyone away. The live version of the song combines the full version with a re-enactment of the climax from Episode 12.
  • The first season ends with "FLAG wo Hatamekasero", which is a delightful pop song that manages to bring forth a new future for Franchouchou, as well as ensuring that they'll always come back for more.
  • The ending theme for the first season is "Hikari e/To The Light". It is a very emotional piece that has Franchouchou singing about the fact that they have to part ways as humans and move onto the 'afterlife'. One could argue that this song could also mean something much more, considering that the group could disband one day. Either way, a good way to end most of Season One's episodes. The TV version of the ending theme can also be heard in its dub version. According to the dub voice actresses who worked on the Funimation dub of the show, they stated that this song was their favorite to work with. It becomes doubly impactful in Episode 7 of Revenge when it is sung as Maimai's, aka Number 7, graduation. Realizing that Franchouchou was created specifically for the zombie girls who were given another chance at life, as well as at making their dreams come true, she decided to separate from them as she is still alive and has a chance to make her dreams come true the first time around.

     Songs from Revenge (Season Two)
  • The OP for Revenge ("Taiga yo Tomo ni Naite Kure/O Saga, Cry With Me") is a hell of a follow-up from the first season's OP, which has Franchouchou performing another Sentai-inspired theme. Sakura's scream-singing that leads into the chorus, is when this OP goes into overdrive in mere seconds. And just in case you want more, here's the full version.
  • "Revenge", where the girls sing of how they'll pick themselves up from their failed EFS concert, and make a powerful comeback regardless of what stands in their way.
  • Do You Hate Windy Days? Saki's song in episode 2 after she takes over her idol's radio show when he retires, it's a very happy, yet powerful, song that focuses on its upbeat rhythm.
  • Gekko Survive, the song Franchouchou uses to open their act at the Iron Frill concert in Episode 4, is a complete banger of a song, combining hard J-rock with more than a little Beastie Boys-style rock rap and Junko's amazingly powerful voice. Not to mention Tae's extended drum solo right at the beginning. Said TV version was so awesome, it was added to The Best Revenge album, Tae's drum solo intro included.
  • Midway through the penultimate episode, Never Ending Saga begins playing - sung by Kotaro's VA - offering a deeper insight into the man's feelings on his battle to save Saga. Between the soul-stirring determination, and the feeling of endlessly battling against a difficult, perhaps even impossible task, the song tugs at your heartstrings.
  • "Shine" is the penultimate song, and much like "Revenge", can be considered the season's anthem(s) as Franchouchou stand against the odds, never giving up and aiming to make people happy as they move onward. Its message is also a very heartwarming one about how Freaky Is Cool.

     Other songs
  • "Saga Jihen", which is included in the "Best Of" album (and was reprised at the end of Season 2's ninth episode), is entirely focused on Yugiri (considering she never got her own song during the first season). From listening to the first 20 seconds of the song, you'd expect her to sing traditional Japanese folk music from her era, right? Nope. She actually performs an amazingly well-performed, fast-paced jazz number. And it is glorious.
  • "Sensei ALIVE Sensation" is perhaps one of the most underrated songs from the franchise, but despite being placed as a bonus song at the end of the "Best Of" album, this particular song is without a doubt, Sakura's Image Song, and it shows. The cutesy vibes alongside the pop-rocking instrumentation, and of course, Sakura's amazing vocal talent, make up for one of the best solo songs in the series thus far.
