* JerkassHasAPoint: This is definitely Jameson's case. While he is always shown to rant about how dangerous Spider-Man is and is portrayed as a loudmouth [[{{Jerkass}} jerk]] for doing so, he is not entirely wrong. Spidey in this show is much more reckless and has caused problems, or made them worse, time from time. For example: the episode "Awesome" has Spidey stealing one of S.H.I.E.L.D inventions without knowing what it is. The invention turns out to be Awesome Android, who proceeds to wreck the city or when Spidey decided to go along with a plan to capture Doctor Doom, who turns out to be a doombot and almost destroyed Helicarrier and the entire New York, simply out of petty grudge against Nova. Sure, Spidey does try to be a better hero and feels acknowledges his mistakes and Jameson didn't knew that Spidey caused incidents with Doom and Awesome Android, but it is quite understandable why would Jameson be suspicious of Spider-Man.

Accidentally misspelled "Mc Guffin" as "Mc Guggin".

** There's also the bizarre case of "Amoral All Along" with Deadpool about two seasons earlier. Initially, the Merc With A Mouth appears to have been re-imagined as a freelance hero who used to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., claiming that a mysterious villain named "Agent McGuggin" had stolen encrypted S.H.I.E.L.D. files with the secret identities of every known hero with intent on selling the information to Taskmaster. But after Deadpool easily defeats Taskmaster with his sheer unpredictability, Spider-Man learns the hard way that "Agent McGuggin" never really existed, and that it was really Deadpool himself who stole the list with intent on selling it. Taskmaster merely stole the list right from under Deadpool's nose, ''while he was doing some bathroom business''. Deadpool's fight with Spidey makes it clear that he's actually a mercenary who will do literally anything for money. Truly a faithful G-rated adaptation of the Merc With A Mouth.
