Both have dorky sides, both are speedy athletes, and both have a tendency to give into peer pressure when it comes to their teammates and friends, both are loyal to their friends, and as of "Newbie Dash", are both Wonderbolts. It's this reason that many fans of Rainbow Dash ship her with Soarin.

* NotSoDifferent: Photo Finish is in many ways a CharacterExaggeration of Rarity; she has an even more overt foreign accent, is about 20% hammier and can be just as pushy and absorbed in her work as Rarity. She's even taken with Fluttershy, Rarity's closest friend.
