* ContraltoOfDanger: As Noel, her voice is high and peppy. Her voice ''tumbles'' when she's in Mu form, even after Noel gains control there's a noticeable difference in tone whenever she uses this form.

* ContraltoOfDanger: Throughout the series, Noel is a generally harmless girl, though a competent combatant (mostly thanks to her weapon, the Bolverk), with a high and girly voice. When she's forced into the form of Mu-12, which harnesses the power of [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Kusanagi, the Godslayer]], her voice plummets several octaves. Crosses over with EvilSoundsDeep, and even once she gains conscious control of the transformation and joins the heroes again, using her Murakumo form still causes a noticeable difference in tone.

** DarkActionGirl: Noel as Mu is one of the most powerful entities to have ever existed. As the perfect fusion of a portion of Azure with a Boundary Interface Prime Field Device, Mu boasts power stronger than that of the Black Beast. She can freely enter the Boundary and is capable of fighting off present-time Hakumen, then both Jin and Ragna the Bloodedge at the same time.

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: She was seen as this by both [[spoiler: Ragna and Jin]] at first.
** [[spoiler: Jin absolutely ''despised'' her back in the Academy days, due to her resemblance to Saya, and all of Noel's attempts to be friendly to him only served to make him hate her more, not that it stopped Noel from trying more though.]]
** [[spoiler: While not as bad as Jin, Noel's [[ShrinkingViolet personality]] also greatly annoyed Ragna at first. Best shown after the two managed to leave the collapsed interior of the NOL branch, after being constantly slowed down by Noel's slow movements and repeated clumsiness, Ragna finally snaps and abashes her, which caused her to eventually leave, stating that they'll be enemies next time they meet. This is averted after his CharacterDevelopment where Ragna develops a major BigBrotherInstinct towards Noel.]]

* DifficultButAwesome: Somewhat; due to how her Drive works, one must know well where to put the drone and when they start shooting, as wrong move can make the pressure stop.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: When not wearing the actual Murakumo armour, she is simply wearing [[ZettaiRyouiki thigh-high]] toeless stockings.

* SpecialGuest: She appears in ''Anime/QueensBlade'' franchise's game [[Characters/SpiralChaosCharacters Spiral Chaos]]'' as a replacement for [[VideoGame/DeadOrAlive Kasumi]] along with VideoGame/WonderMomo, due to Tecmo-Koei's refusal to allow Kasumi to appear in that game. Cue to potential [[HilarityEnsues hilarity]] when she meets [[GagBoobs Cattleya]] along the way.

* BareYourMidriff: In ''Chronophantasma'' and while keeping her SexyBacklessOutfit. Sheesh Noel.

* BareYourMidriff: Apparently, "stomach protection" wasn't in Relius' blueprints for the Murakumo Units' armor, but the other two have latex covering their torsos. Some of her {{Palette Swap}}s colour her stomach so that it looks like she is wearing latex like the other Murakumo Units.

* StrawNihilist: She wants to [[OmnicidalManiac destroy the world]] and [[KillEmAll everybody in it]]. During her Astral she even rants about how corrupt and evil the world is and asks why her opponent resists. [[spoiler:This is due to Terumi's influence; in ''Chronophantasma'' she sheds this trope completely.]]

* BonusBoss: If you do not continue and get at least 3 Astral Finishes throughout ''Continuum Shift II'', a special cutscene occurs where Terumi decides you're worth being a test subject for her battle capabilities. This starts out cool and all, but then you notice that her name is glowing pink.
** SNKBoss: The glowing pink name means she's in her Unlimited mode, which is '''ten times more broken than Hazama's''', and 20 times as frustrating as ''Calamity Trigger's'' Unlimited Ragna. And good luck beating her at Level 999 Abyss...

* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Noel has been accused of being a CreatorsPet due to all her powers and the fetishes involved in her design... but actually, all these qualities put her in positions that the poor girl is ''very'' clearly unfit to handle, her social interactions have suffered quite a bit (ie., [[spoiler:being Jin's sort-of sister was something that Hazama used to manipulate her close friend Tsubaki Yayoi, [[ClingyJealousGirl who's obsessively in love with Jin]], into a FaceHeelTurn]]) while her powers remain unknown to her and get exploited by others for their own gain. (Not to mention how despite being very pretty, she still has low self-esteem [[ACupAngst and a fixation on what she lacks]] rather than [[MoeMoe what she]] [[ShesGotLegs already possesses]]). Noel's character has also had little chance to develop [[UnwittingPawn due to constant manipulation]], resulting in her being a super shy ShrinkingViolet with no small amount of emotional baggage [[BreakTheCutie and no small amount of traumatic things experienced]]. [[spoiler:However, closing her "Eye of the Azure" might have lead to the possibility of [[CharacterDevelopment her becoming mentally/emotionally stronger]] - and if a month with her other best bud [[PluckyGirl Makoto]] is any indication, [[EarnYourHappyEnding things are looking up for her]].]]

* FighterMageThief: Of her group of three friends, Makoto is undoubtedly the fighter with the greatest offensive potential, Tsubaki fits the mage best, though her Unlimited version is the toughest of the three (15,000 HP to the other two's 14,000HP according to Wiki/TheOtherWiki; in normal mode they all get 11,000 according to Dustloop), and Noel the thief noted for her speed, though her reliance on her magic guns leans towards the mage a little.

* ResemblanceReveal: At the end of the first game it's revealed that Noel and Nu-12 both look alike...because Noel's a [[ArtificialHuman Prime Field Device]]. Then, in the ''Continuum Shift'' it's reveal that all the PFD look the same because [[spoiler: they're clones of Ragna and Jin's sister]]. Makoto's story mode has an in-universe version when she [[spoiler: looks at the "failed" devices near the cauldron (which shunted her into an alternative universe where Noel was never "born") and finds that they all look like Noel (her best friend).]]

* CryCute: First in ''Calamity Trigger's'' True Ending after she rescues Ragna from falling into the cauldron; she cried so much that she actually fell asleep.
** And again in ''Continuum Shift'' True Ending, after Ragna sacrifices his OTHER arm for her. ''Idiot'' indeed.
** And one last time in ''Central Fiction'', [[spoiler:before Ragna erases himself.]]

* NiceHat: So nice it makes Jin less an asshole to her if she's wearing it. Gets rid of it in ''Chronophantasma''.

-> This is the form that Noel takes after being converted to her original Murakumo Unit form. She is being mind-controlled by Terumi and her hatred for the world has now been dialed UpToEleven. Seeing as how she is the TrueFinalBoss of Story Mode, she is a secret character who can be unlocked by beating the True Ending or by downloading her via the UsefulNotes/PlayStationNetwork Store or Xbox Live Marketplace.

The all ended up joining different branches of the [[StateSec NOL]] and don't get the chance to see each other much anymore, but enjoy spending time with each other. Noel and Makoto's main motivation in ''Chronophantasma'' is trying to get Tsubaki back after she was [[MindRape manipulated]] by [[{{Troll}} Terumi]]. Notably, Noel and Tsubaki were originally planned to be a lesbian couple and Makoto has been confirmed to be bi (and felt up Tsubaki's chest in a [[WhatIf gag reel]]). However, Tsubaki [[SingleTargetSexuality only has eyes]] for [[ChildhoodMarriagePromise Jin.]]

* FishOutOfTemporalWater: [[spoiler:She is actually Mu -12-, the predecessor of Nu -13-. Her memories start to fade after her fight with Hakumen, and in her ending, she enters a state of LaserGuidedAmnesia, repeating the words "Who am I?" in a CreepyMonotone, much like her successor. Even creepier when she starts ''acting'' exactly like Nu -13-.]]
