Moving the Hellrune Coven over to magick Chicks and leaving a note. Tiffany is a bit more problematic as she switches back and forth between the two series.
Trump delenda estWell, officially Tiff is a Magick Chicks character, so she'd probably fit best there.
Still, I'd like to get a few more opinions first. Two people is not enough to make this kind of change.
If it's just the Hellrune Coven, sure. Aside from Melissa, they're all but non-existent in EC, ever since the transfer to Artemis Academy. Plus, their role was relatively minor, which is why they only have 3-4 entries each.
But Tiffany makes regular appearances in both comix, including the current arc in EC. So she should be featured on both character sheets; leaving all entries concerning events in EC on this page, and all entries related Magick Chicks left there to avoid confusion and unnecessary clutter.
Edited by MiinUI think what we should do is like with A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun: All three pages redirect to one central page, which has a short list of subpages. Maybe Eerie Cutie Main Characters, Hellrune Coven, Dangerously Chloe Main Characters, Other Charybidis Heights Characters, and so on. And for anyone who would show up on multiple pages (Chloe was a main character in EC before she got her spin-off), they get an entry, but it's exampleless and just says "See Dangerously Chloe Main Characters" or whatever.
I sandboxed up a quick disambiguation page: Sandbox.Lagace Supernatural Verse. Obviously most of the work hasn't been done yet, but that at least gives an idea of what I mean. I should note that the "other" page would be soft-split into schools.
Edited by 67.116.252.254C'mon people, any opinions here? I don't want to just go ahead and do this, but if no one else is interested, I might.
If I don't get any other opinions by tomorrow, I'm gonna just do the merge.
I saw the Sandbox and think that's a pretty good idea, and much better than go back and forth seeing which tropes go to which character sheet. Although I believe instead of just the Hellrune Coven, it would be best to have characters of both Magick Chicks and Eerie Cuties by school (Charybdis, Artemis and Apollo, other for family members and non-students). The Dangerously Chloe one seems good enough, though. And sorry for the late opinion...
Hm, yes, that seems better. I was a little worried that too many characters were getting shoved off into the "other" page. So Characters.Eerie Cuties can redirect to Characters.Charybdis Academy, Characters.Magick Chicks can redirect to Characters.Artemis Academy And Apollo Academy, with all of them have a link to the disambig at the top? Actually, we might not even need the disambiguation page with that format.
When Layla goes "Be Sorry for Dio! Imagine how awful he must feel right now, after losing out on all this sexy!" would that be Never My Fault, Blatant Lies or Ungrateful Bitch? (She DID put her engagement to Dio in jeopardy at least when she let her Clingy Jealous Girl side of her get the best of her to claim Kade as her boyfriend to save the catboy from having Chloe devour his soul. So she does share SOME part of that debacle.)
Should Blair have the "Selfish Good, Selfish Evil" trope? Twice he's betrayed two girls close to him for his own gain:
1) With the Orb of Tiresias, he was willing to sacrifice Nina with no remorse to turn the whole high school into blonde, buxom bimbos (Nina included).
2) He swore to be a "good boy" to do anything to stay in the "Heaven" he had with Chloe, but once Layla told him Chloe's panties were the rarest in the universe, Blair stole them without a second thought that without Chloe wearing those panties, all she did to keep that "Heaven" might go POOF! Once it all goes back to normal, and the magic gets reversed, Blair wouldn't think twice of backstabbing a girl (again). All for panties.
Hide / Show RepliesI believe that, as an Alignment trope, Selfish Good Selfish Evil goes into the YMMV section.
Trump delenda estUnder "Tempting Faith" it does raise a question: Faith Abbott, Sandi and Callista against Doompanty-aided Chloe, Cess and Laura, which team would come out on top? And would a powerful Esper work well against a Succubus coming into her own? Given she nearly died after driving Layla into a bloodthirsty berserker mode, Faith might do well to look well at Chloe and assess her better before engaging her in battle. Also, given her Esper Seductive abilities would she be able to face a Succubus coming into her own similar styles?
Hide / Show RepliesPossibly. In fact, I'm almost certain Faith could handle Chloe, leaving Callista to deal with Cess and Laura —since Sandi doesn't seem to have any fighting ability yet.
As for what happened with Layla, Faith had her at her mercy before berserking her. She could've easily killed Layla then, had she chosen to. Faith's ego is what nearly got her killed. She's so used to being The Ace, she believed she could take a bloodlusted vampire without any powers; which was pretty dumb.
Still, she at least had the good sense to have Tiffany on standby in case things got out of hand... which turned out to be a wise decision for her and Layla.
I have my doubts about Chloe being able to seduce Faith, given how easily she resisted Layla's mind control. So the Doom Panties may or may not help Chloe. It would probably depend on how far along she's come in unlocking their full potential, offset by the extent by which Faith can resist them.
There's also the matter of Faith being overpowered, which Tiffany mentions early on. The girl can even Flash Step. Between her ability and Callista's dead aim, I'd say Chloe and her girls might wanna reconsider before picking a fight with her.
About the only ones capable of posing a legitimate challenge for Faith (so far) would be: Melissa, Ash, and (maybe) Tiffany.
Edited by MiinUShould we have Gag Boobs given to Laura and Cessily after a Doompanty-aided Chloe gives the two new succubi magical breast enlargement? Or Be Careful What You Wish for for Cess? She suddenly realizes her new breasts are heavy (and why Chloe didn't mind reducing hers a bit).
Also would "Overfed with Power" or a version of "Drunk on Power" apply to the two? After they "fed off" Ash, they look like they overdid it at a buffet with a few extra beer rounds to boot. They look like they're staggering a little.
Blair intending to kill Nina if she develops a taste for blood is not "Wild Mass Guessing." Blair walked into her room with a stake and a bar of chocolate, asked her how she felt about eating blood, and breathed a sigh of relief when she took the chocolate. There's no other sane way to take that.
A while ago, I got into a discussion over whether an interpretation of Klaus's Storm King parable from Girl Genius belonged on the main page. I felt that it didn't, since there were many reasonable ways it could be taken, and more light would likely be shone on it when Gil and Phil met, or when Gil was reunited with Klaus. This, on the other hand, seems like the equivalent of cutting out an edit for just calling it a parable.
Edited by TwinBird My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger. Hide / Show RepliesOkay, we still don't know the full reasoning for why Blair was there. He was present when Nina-in-Layla's-body fed on Becky and almost seemed to be encouraging her. All we really have is one page of Blair with a stake and acting rather omnious. While it seems that this is the most likely cause, we have seen Giz and company come out of left field several times. So, maybe a trope detailing the ominous scene, for which maybe Hidden Depths mentioning the scene, but not putting in speculation.
As for 'Kick the Dog', well if he is trying prevent some kind of appocolypse, then his action are dog kicking, but I Did What I Had to Do or such. Now, if he suddenly just up and staked her for giggles, then the dog has been kicked.
As for not responding, I didn't realize it was something that had to be responded to before it came up again.
With the emphasis that strip puts on Nina's Easter birthday and with the next strip with Nina's father (presumably), I think it's clear there's something serious going on.
I'm not sure the conversation her dad was having with Monsieur Renior had anything to do with Nina. I have a feeling Giz is going to let this whole thing with Nina sit and watch us run around in circles.
There is definately something going on with Nina. But it's waaaaaayyy to early to get a good grasp of what it is. My guess is that she does have some kind of link with the Vampire Queen, but I can't tell what Blair's role in this is, yet.
Does Ace getting hit with a Gender Bender need spoilered out? I mean it happened ages ago at roughly the halfway point of the comic, adjusting has had some major focus since, it wasn't really a big twist, and it came during an arc where every guy got hit with one (except Kade for some reason).
Hide / Show RepliesGood point. I'll change that.
I've been here too long. Regretting choosing this screenname ten years ago.
Doubleposting from the Magick Chicks page: Should we create a single shared character page for Eerie Cuties, Magick Chicks, and Dangerously Chloe? There are multiple characters with duplicate entries, which is just confusing for everyone. Even if merging into one page would be overkill, we can move the Hellrune Coven and Tiffany (for example) completely over to the Magick Chicks page, just leaving behind a note "See Magick Chicks."
