It's locked because it was created without the usual review process and the Character-Specific Page cleanup thread is working on it.
Best option is to post there and see if they can either include it with those cleanup changes, or if they're comfortable for you to go straight to the Locked Page edit thread and ask a mod to make the change on your behalf now.
Good lord, those freaking Star Wars pages are still locked? It's been multiple years already.

Would anyone be able to tell me why page for the 1994 "Thumbelina" film is locked at this time? I was thinking I could spruce things up by improving it a little, but...yeah.
Going through the page history, it looks as though someone left some pretty nasty and vulgar comments as the reasoning for their edits in the past. I can understand, based on that, why it was locked, but how long does that remain in effect for, exactly?

There’s still a ton of soapboxing on that Television is Trying to Kill Us page. Hopefully someone can get that fixed.

The trope I'm referring to is Freud Was Right, so I'm guessing that it's to keep the site SFW? If so, then why are we allowed to list it on a work's page?

If the darn page is locked, why is the ability to go to the edit page and make edits still there? I just wasted about an hour making changes that the page ate when I clicked "save". Even the preview page showed the changes.

It was a leftover bug from the 1.8 update, where pages would occasionally lock for no real reason. The bug has mostly died down, but I still see it pop up once in a while. I've since fixed the Better Call Saul tearjerker page, so it should be free to edit again.
For future reference, if you see a page that seems to be locked for no apparent reason, you can fix it yourself by clicking on the "History" tab, and then clicking on "Edit Page" from there. If you cancel out of the edit, then the page should be unlocked. (And if it's still locked, then it was probably a page that was locked deliberately.)
[[Adolf Hitlarious]] seems to be locked. should it be listed on the page? (I'm also interested to know exactly why it was locked, although I can guess.)
Does anybody know why Ascended Fanon is locked?
I tried editing it earlier today, but it wouldn't let me submit my edit, and said something like "You may not insert HTML into the page source". When I tried again a few minutes later, the page was locked.
It's been the target of a serial spammer, along with the pages for several other animated films. If you see a film page that's locked and it's not listed here, that's probably why.

You can request any edits to Locked Pages on the Locked Pages Thread. Just make sure you write them up exactly as they should appear on the page.
I would like to change the instruments of the five man band.
Typically, in most rock band, a bassist is required and the female is usually the lead singer.
So I would like to request that the leader become the guitarist, the lancer become the bassist, and the chick become the lead singer.

Well, last edit was a mod splitting it for size issues. Probably just locked it because... why not? It's completely split so there's no reason to edit the page. Examples go elsewhere.

May want to add something to the page about the difference between a "locked" page and a "checked out by This Troper until TIME" page. It can say that "checked out is only a temporary lock, and is explained on Tips for Editing".

Suggestion for Harry Potter Complete Monster page: where it says that Bellatrix killed her family members Sirius and Tonks, include the fact that they are her cousin and niece respectively. It informs her cruelty better to have such specificity.

Could someone unlock the Nightmare Fuel page for The Super Mario Bros Movie? Reason why I asked is because the Nightmare Fuel page's points are supposed to be based on opinion, and having the page locked was (no offense) a bit hypocritical.
