Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openMCU Thanos - permission to revert? Film
In a rather large edit, troper Saquatch X removed/altered several key entries that highlighted notable Key Differences between Thanos from IW and Thanos from EG, calling them "opiniated", claiming there was basically no Character Development for the original Thanos and no difference between the two versions, when the directors themselves even highlighted the difference (see point 15). With a rather large edit like that, I wanted to hear opinions instead of just reverting it right away.
openMod revert on SophisticatedAsHell?
Large swaths of Sophisticated as Hell seem to have been deleted at random and with no edit reason whatsoever. Can we get a mod revert please?
openIs that okay to unmarked spoilers character file because of a potential edit war? Film
So a few weeks ago, I removed the captions of a character file in Kamen Rider Saber Movie And Spinoff Exclusive Characters because it has a full on spoiler tags on it which violates the spoiler policy and I pm the OP Siegfried 1337 with spoilers reason. A few days later, they put it back with no edit reason despite the fact that they had read my pm of the spoiler policy. So I was thinking if I can put unmarked spoilers on character file with a edit reason and an unmarked spoilers warning without causing an edit war. Do you think that's an edit war and can I unmarked the character file because the spoiler tags on a captions violates the spoiler policy? Also can you please summon the OP if that's an edit war?

Deleting entries off moment pages
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Funny.SilentHill2
I noticed when looking at the page history someone randomly deleted another tropers entry off the funny page for Silent Hill 2 without comment back in November
openPremature split?
UndeadCounterpart.Video Games was split off from Undead Counterpart a few days ago; I'm a bit confused at this, mostly because Undead Counterpart was launched less than a month ago and this seems a little early to start splitting it off like this? I don't think that we have hard guidelines for this sort of thing, necessarily, but at the same time it also seems a bit rushed to do something like this this early, especially when the rest of the page is left as basically just a small stub.
Thoughts? Is it rushed, or am I making mountains out of molehills here?
openPage to cut?
Found NotSoDifferent.Video Games. Not So Different was replaced with "Not So Different" Remark and has a video game page.
It looks like NotSoDifferent.Video Games was missed by the cleanup. Any reason not to just send it to cut list?
openSpoiler abuse on WebVideo/BenDrowned
As per the topic, I came across Ben Drowned rather randomly and noticed that something like half the page was spoilered out. That being said I'm not personally familiar with it and so I'm not the one to go about cleaning it up, I'm just reporting it here so someone who might be better equipped to do so can.
open TRS crowner
There is an active crowner for Loads And Loads Of Characters at the Trope Repair Shop. If inclined to join the discussion, do so here.
open Hyphens and "..." character replacement
Luigifan is replacing em dashes (represented by two hyphen signs) with spaces and hyphens, and replacing "..." with …, which is a single character in unicode and looks strange when editing. I first noticed it on YMMV.Hadestown but there seem to be a lot more examples. I dunno how big a deal this is, but it seemed worth bringing up since such changes can be fairly extensive depending on the page.

open Attack on Titan Character Pages Anime
So I'm planning to creating character pages for certain characters from Attack on Titan and for the Historia page, should the namespace contain "Historia" or "Krista"? Thanks. Page for reference https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16263743740A05359600&page=43#comment-1063
openOverly long entry Film
The YMMV page for Black Panther has a very long entry for Draco in Leather Pants:
- Thanks to his sympathetic backstory as well as the fact he makes a few good points about social and political issues, Killmonger has a few zealous fans who tend to completely overlook the fact that he's still a remorseless killer who has no qualms about innocent people (even children) dying for the sake of his goals. Sterling K. Brown even spoke out about it, pointing out that while his intentions were noble, he committed several unambiguously evil acts including murdering his girlfriend, killing Zuri, and destroying the heart-shaped herb so he could keep the Black Panther powers for himself. Hell, his very first scene in the movie has him mocking a totally innocent tour guide for drinking poisoned coffee, just because her understanding of African history is based on Western academic beliefs (even though she's likely just repeating what she's been taught, and is actually being quite nice to him.) Marvel Studios themselves seem to have realized they made the character too sympathetic as the character's next appearance in the ''What If?'' series serves as a further indictment of the character by dismantling whatever justifications he has for his actions, demonstrating how flawed his plan is, and showing he cares more about himself than other black people.
This comes off more like an essay, and I think the opening lines make the point well enough. Should this be trimmed down?
Edited by Javertshark13open What's the difference?
I've been reading the pages for Secret Art and Signature Move for weeks now and don't understand why they are different tropes. Both involve moves that are specific to a character/line so why are they different tropes.
openXehanort 42
Xehanort 42 recently instigated an edit war on the Spider-Man (PS4): Villains page by (incorrectly) altering a character's Composite Character description, which I reverted, and then altering it again yesterday. Permission to revert it back?
open Video mispelling Jackle's name Videogame
In the video "Jackal" on Villainous Harlequin for NiGHTS into Dreams…, both the title and the description mispelled the character's name. It's actually "Jackle." Can someone please fix this?
openTo whoever approved my 2 latest video examples
Why didn't you PM me that links don't work in video descriptions so I could remove the links from the video descriptions before the videos got approved?
In regards to La Résistance and Les Collaborateurs, I know with English language tropes one is to ignore the article and put the trope alphabetically on the next word. Since La and Les are French articles, should they be placed among R's and C's, respectively, or both are in L because of the uniqueness of using French?
