openJak at it again with Star Wars comparisions Anime
A long while back I put this on the Anime and Manga P to S page for Better Than It Sounds
- Ringing Bell: Sheep Bambi pulls a Face–Heel Turn as an attempt at revenge.
Recently, jak2130472, who I have talked about here before, changed it to:
- Ringing Bell: Sheep Anakin pulls a Face–Heel Turn as an attempt at revenge.
I dunno much about Anakin Skywalker's backstory, but I think Bambi is a better fit because it's an adorable animal whose mom got killed. Is it safe for me to bring this up mainly because it's getting annoying?
Edited by RedBerryBlueCherryopenPage title question Anime
I don't see any thread of that nature in the Directory thread (the closest is a thread on translation policy, but I doubt it covers the issue). Should I ask here, or at the Forums? (If I'm suggested to ask here, I'll also ask the question in this thread)
resolved How many drafts on TLP? Anime
How many drafts can someone have on TLP? Is it one per user or can there a user have more?
openSomeone removed the content of the "Awesome" page of Voltes V, and replaced it with...this Anime
This is the page now, I can't make sense of what's going on. I edited this page months ago and it was normal, had clean grammar, readable examples and made sense. Now it looks like someone has deleted ALL that content and added a whole bunch of natter.
Is there a way to restore this page to it's clean, readable original version? (If you need a time frame, November 2023 - I remember checking out this page and it looked normal and up to standards).

Where do I put the Divinez characters on the Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress character page? Do they just go on the bottom or something?
Edited by Eldeew31-lelopenEdit War on Characters/UndeadUnluckGodAndTheSuperiorRules Anime
- March 17th, 2024, Troper UnCorrectManiac changed the images for the characters "Soul", "Death", "Change", and "Language" on the Undead Unluck: God and The Superior Rules page without opening an Image Pickin thread.
- March 18th, 2024, Troper Rebel Falcon (Myself) reverted entries.
- Edit Reason: Image changes need to be approved via an Image Pickin thread.
- March 18th, 2024, Troper UnCorrectManiac instigated Edit War by undoing reversion, as well as changed the image for character "Luck" without opening an Image Pickin thread.
- Edit Reason: If you believe the new images do not fit the page than feel free to make an Image Pickin' thread to argue your case, but at the moment it seems silly to revert them back without doing so. Every other image on this page was added with the Image Pickin Thread being needed before hand, I don't see why these should be any different unless your actually willing to explain why in a thread. If there is already a thread for UU I'd love to take part in it, but I could not find it myself.
openPossible edit war Anime
Troper catbot158 have made a possible edit war on Characters.A Sign Of Affection.
- Here, they added a Beta Couple entry (albeit a ZCE) to both Rin and Kyoya's folder.
- I hid it
- They unhid it without elaborating the trope.
resolved Trope Launch Bomb Anime
I am just a bit confused about the Launch Pad when it comes to something being discarded. Does it take 5 bombs at least for a draft to be bombed?
Edited by nightlightieopenMy Hero Academia - Arc Name Anime
Several Story Arcs listed in My Hero Academia in recap page are using wrong name. We need to change their names to real ones
- Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ) arc - USJ arc
- Hero Killer arc - Vs Hero Killer arc
- School Trip arc - Forest Training Camp arc
- Hero License Exam arc - Provisional Hero License Exam arc
- Internship arc - Shie Hassaikai arc
- Culture Festival arc - U.A. School Festival arc
- Endeavour Intern arc - Endeavour Agency arc
- Villain Hunt and Deku vs Class 1A arcs are need to be fused into Dark Hero arc
resolved Body Horror page image Anime
I think we should replace the image of the Anime & Manga. The one that is used from Barefoot Gen is too gruesome and nightmarish in my opinion. I’ve been thinking about one from My Hero Academia - it is All For One’s “Omni-Factor Unleash”, a move where he releases all of his quirks and mutates into a giant mess of flesh. What do you say?
resolved Edit War Anime
On the YMMV page of My Dress-Up Darling
- voidgod added a misuse of Arc Fatigue.
- I deleted it.
- voidgod re-added it back without prior discussion or an edit reason.
openPossible edit war Anime
Troper Joe Devaney 29 might possibly be edit warning.
- Here they added a Jerkass Has a Point entry for Eli.
- I removed it citing this
- They added it back (albeit rewritten).
What strikes about them (speaking as someone without much knowledge Love Live) is that Eli doesn't seem like a jerk. Does she impede the progress of the others? Yes. But it's because she is cautious about failure, not because she is a jackass who wants to and has may have a point about it.
I would like more opinions on this though.
Edited by Ayumi-chanopenSockpuppets over Dubbing Anime
Since all the posting about this is done on the forums, I can't just show their forum history directly, but the posts of dms2345 seem to mirror that of the now-suspended user dms3456. First, the username is almost identical. Second, they both post about the same topics of anime subs and dubs, including the same works like Cardcaptor Sakura (dms2345,dms3456) and Pokémon (dms2345, dms3456)
resolved User changing the language of a work page Anime
Soldado 378 completely changed the contents of Onegai My Melody from English to Spanish. Their edits also messed up with the formatting of the page.
Edited by UchuuFlamencoopen looking for old shows that aired in my country once in the 2000s Anime
the shows that I rememeber briefly that ran between I think 2000 and 2009
1-one that is basically zorro but futuristic 2d style with the zorro character being a rebel leader. 2-one is either an anime that was dubbed or a western anime style show about a squad I remember the first episode where one of the main character had her entire squad slaughtered and one of them was killed with a pistol by the enemy while his plane was upside down.
Edited by hussain_ammopenSplit large pages Anime
I've noticed the Strong Family Resemblance Anime & Manga page is very long (78,777 characters). Is it valid to separate the pages into:
- Strong Family Resemblance / Anime And Manga - A-M
- Strong Family Resemblance / Anime And Manga - N-Z
Or not?
Edited by deerhornsaresoprettyresolved Someone published my draft without a release date. Anime
I may have mentioned this a while back, but I made a sandbox draft for Suicide Squad Isekai because there was no release date. Someone went and published it anyway. Do I just copy and cut?
To be clear, we know it is supposed to be out this year, but we do not know much else about the release date.
Edited by BigBadShadow25resolved Which should we use – episode names or episode numbers? Anime
Is there a wiki convention or policy on whether or not you should refer to TV show episodes by their names or by their numbers?
It's just that I'm noticing that on the page for Bang Brave Bang Bravern!, someone's been editing mentions of episode numbers and replacing them with the names of the episodes. I'm don't object to the idea of referring to episodes by their titles, but with Bravern, this means the page refers to episodes with long names like "Isami! You'll Be Here Soon, Won't You, Isami!?"
I'm tempted to edit them back to episode numbers, but I don't want want to kick off an edit war if I can help it, so before I do anything, I'm wondering if there's some sort of wiki policy that leans one way or the other.

On quite a few pages related to the Fairy Tail franchise such as the Character pages and the Manga.Fairy Tail Zero page, Nic Master Trope (edit history) has changed the Sirius spellings (which is used in the most recent English translations; in this case, its the Kodansha USA manga releases) to Tenrou, which was used before the Kodansha USA translations. While I restored the Sirius naming on said pages (such as this one) per some of the hidden notes (such as "For the sake of consistent character name spelling, the Kodansha USA manga translations are used on this page. If Kodansha USA has not provided such translations, the Crunchyroll anime translations are to be used until then.") and the notes on the Administrivia.Troping Works Created In Other Languages (such as "The most recent official translation of the title and character names should be used for the wiki", etc.), NicMasterTrope changed it back to Tenrou while making other edits just moments ago (as shown in some of the history pages, which can be found here and here). If I'm not mistaken, I'm suspecting this might be an Edit War. I've also notified the troper in question of this ATT query via PM.
Given the above, I have a question: any thoughts on what to do here (such as bringing it up on the English Localization Cleanup thread, etc.)?
