I'm a big fan of Gen Urobuchi, with some of my favorite series being Fate/Zero, Blassreiter, Psycho-Pass, and Madoka Magica. Anything else in that vein? A Nd Yes, I have already watched All the Evangelion stuff and Black Lagoon.

It isn't anime or manga, but as an Urobuchi fan, you desperately need to watch Kamen Rider Gaim.

Out of stuff that is manganime, hrm... my go-to suggestions are Berserk, Devilman, and Attack on Titan.

Ooh, Bokurano and Narutaru might also be good stuff for you to check out.

Ditto Digimon Tamers.

Already watched Berserk and Attack on Titan. I'll definitely give Kamen Rider a shot. I'm really a sucker for bloody, depressing anime.

So I'm about to finish and maybe drop a couple stuff and with the soon-to-be sudden influx of vacancy on my list, I'd like to watch something along the lines of FLCL, and/or Eureka Seven (specifically: optomistic, heavy on the feels, sci-fi preferable, love story and mecha optional). Any good stuff out there? Thanks in advance.

Lyrical Nanoha (give it a while for the sci-fi to kick in.), Log Horizon, Scrapped Princess, and Zettai Karen Children (especially this one).

Addendum: Akuma no Riddle is also a good, quick rush of optimistic adrenaline.

For sci-fi stuff that fits your bill, you might enjoy Kiddy Grade, Stratos 4, and maybe Stellvia of the Universe.

(BTW, if you like Kiddy Grade, let me know, since I'm a huge fan of it.)

The Pretty Cure franchise. Lots of Hot-Blooded moments are to be had with all the fighting and Good Old Fisticuffs that goes on. Hell, HeartCatch Pretty Cure!'s fashion show is Hot-Blooded! This is on top of the cute comedy (which Smile Pretty Cure! freaking embraces) and the generally great characterization among the lead casts.

Precure is too childish for my taste.

How about REDLINE, the most intense racing movie I know of? I also enjoyed Sabagebu!'s take on hot blood as well, and shouting is pretty much an obligatory part of Pani Poni Dash!'s humor too.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the go-to hot-blooded-and-manly show, I thought.

So the first episode of Yuri Bear Storm is out and I feel like watching something anime again.

Anything stood out since last year ? I'm a big fan of mindscrew by the way.

There's the assorted Monogatari bits, but I figure you'd already have watched them if you care. Haven't cared for most of the mind-screwy series this year. Yuuki Yuuna Wa Yuusha De Aru might be worth checking out?

I'd recommend Mushishi second season for the best thing last year in anime. Also decently mindscrewy, depending on the episode.

I've been feeling a little down lately. I'm looking for a manga, don't have the time for an anime.

Something dumb and cute and lighthearted. Something funny. Nothing with too heavy a plot or tons of drama, a little is fine but I just need something light to read and enjoy.

Anybody got anything?

And while I'm on the subject what's a nice manga reading app for Android? A free one if possible, I'm poor as balls.

Although I don't read much manga at all, there is a very short and sweet one that I can definitely recomend: Helen ESP. With only 18 chapters and 2 volumes, it's easily a good day's worth of dedicated reading. It's not exactly a "dumb" read so much as it is a very enriching one. Plus I hear that it Needs More Love, and I agree!

[up][up] There's the Tonari no Seki-kun manga, and it has an anime adaptation with each episode only 7 minutes long, so you can watch it even if you don't have much time.

Then there's the Short Cuts manga, with only two volumes , but someone said the second volume wasn't that great.
