This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Can Main.Locked Pages be redirected to Administrivia.Locked Pages (which should also be locked, of course) and it’s discussion moved there?
Also, can Locked Pages be namespaced to Administrivia/ in Permanent Red Link Club, Administrivia, No Real Life Examples Please, Wikipedia, Welcome to TV Tropes and Edit War?

To replace the page with the Administrivia/ namespace, the yellow locks on top of the locked pages themselves should link to the new page as well.
I'm not certain whether Locked Pages needs a lock. Not until vandalism does happen again, but not before.

DTH. I went ahead and locked Administrivia.Locked Pages...we can always unlock it if it's deemed safe to do so. There's only one redirect for Main.Locked Pages that needs to be fixed, but I need to talk to Fighteer about it and he's not available right now.

Chekovs Gun: Please change the first three entries under Film to the following, to fix Example Indentation and a violation of Examples Are Not Recent.
- Star Trek itself:
- In Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Chekov points his gun at Kirk, but resists the orders of Khan. He screams, clutches his ear and collapses.
- In Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Chekov attempted to escape from captivity by threatening to use his gun (see pagequote). However, it misfired and he was forced to flee after throwing the useless gun at one of his captors.
- Averted in the reboot film.
Handling Spoilers: As per an Ask The Tropers thread that occurred on today, May 15, can a mod add this to the list in the middle of the article?
- Don't spoiler-text potential "triggers"* in the middle of an article. It gets annoying for the 99.9% of people who aren't affected by such things and don't like having to mouse over every mention of one on a trope page with them. The same goes for slurs of any kind. If they're not needed, delete them.

Also, for the record, that ghost wick in Locked Pages isn't a cut sandbox, it's a pre-locked sandbox the Fighteer drafted up last year during a discussion about our policies on complaining that was then deleted during the sandbox purge.
