I'm looking forward to Little Witch Academia, but nothing else is sticking out yet...
i. hear. a. sound.Oh good, I'll finally find out what Granblue Fantasy is about and why is it so popular.
It's a mobile game from the creators of older final fantasy games with a soundtrack from Nobuo Umatsu.
What else so there to say?

Watch SymphogearIt's a game that the west will never get.
Anyway Konosuba, Academia and Saekano are probably going to be the standouts.
I expect Akiba's Trip to suck major ass, it's going to be an original story that is completely ignoring the aspects of what made the game interesting.
Seiren looks to be Amagami SS 2.0,

Konosuba Season 2. My body is ready.
Based on who the director is, I wouldn't get ahead of yourself on saying the Akibas trip anime will automatically suck.

Watch SymphogearThe only thing that would help a Akiba's Trip anime would be an episode of Dog Days, yay.
The trailer for the actual anime completely killed any hope of a decent adaptation or even capturing what was good about the game.

An anime for a game doesn't have to adapt it directly.
Watch SymphogearSure but it should at least attempt to capture what made the game good, some of its absurdities or at least look like the game.
The trailer is so generic Shonen with bad character designs, it's just flat out painful.

Looking forward to Ao no Exorcist season two, Little Witch Academia, and the usual Precure. Can't say anything else stands out for me outside of maybe Granblue Fantasy and even then that's only because I haven't played the game even though there was an English version released in Japan that I could download with my Japanese itunes account.
It doesn't look like it is even trying that. It looks like Robot Girls Z with the deformed and SD animation and character designs, really it should look more like Seikon No Qwaser.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu's getting a second season? Hell yeah.
Verymelon preaches the truth; Rakugo is legit.
Rakugo and Konosuba are all i neef this season.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I'm actually looking forwards to Akiba's Trip. It has the Sore ga Seiyuu director as well as the first reunion of the trio seiyuu in said show. Shame only Takahashi Rie got her big break among the three (Emilia's Re:Zero, Konosuba's Megumin).
DEEN domination is imminent with second seasons to two very good series. Also I'm interested in whether 1) they're going to give Konosuba the budget it so badly needed 2) they're going to adapt Volume 5 which will definitely consolidate Megumin's position as best girl.
Little Witch Academia is of course a must-watch. This is also Yoshinari's TV anime debut as director which is huge news considering how big he had been in Trigger productions.
Granblue Fantasy is doomed unless A-1 somehow acquires the capability to emulate how MAPPA handled the Rage of Bahamut adaptation. A-1 is also doing Demi-chan which is basically Monster Musume with every girl having a lower monster:girl ratio.
Kuzu no Honkai, Fuuka, Masamune-kun's Revenge... We're getting a lot of dramatic, backstabby series. At least there's Seiren which is just about the purest kind of romance story (a.k.a boring) you can have in anime.
Handshakers is probably the most chuuni anime I've seen in a while. Hopefully it does better than other Go Hand productions like, say, Copellion. Also they can try using less color filters, I've gotten sick of that in K.
Ms. Kobayashi's Maid Dragon. Now that's a series I wouldn't dream of getting adapted by Kyoto Animation, but they did. It'll be interesting to see how they'll handle this adaptation since they haven't adapted any sort of manga since Nichijou (Koe no Katachi isn't out yet). Also Takemoto of Amagi Brilliant Park is on the helm for this, so I suppose the manga's heavier fanservice scenes will make it in, somehow.
Already looking better than this season, for sure.
Wasn't Takahashi already the most experienced of the three at the time? The other two had only had a couple of named roles under their belt then, IIRC.
Er? It's a different genre (slice of life instead of harem comedy)
Nah, it's a romcom
Last I checked we knew very little about it?
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!
ACCOUNT NO LONGER USED. *straps on jetpack*No, this wasn't actually confirmed before
So, preview of sorts. I skipped sequels and series I couldn't find much on, but this is still most of the season
ACCA
Noir-ish series, I guess? Character designs tend toward the fabulous, though. Has the director of Space Dandy and One Punch Man, though I don't know how compatible they'll be with the material
Akiba's Trip
Apparently unrelated to the games beyond general premise, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. It has the staff of Robot Girls Z, which was a great bit of goofy comedy
BanG Dream!
Like Love Live, but with a band, I guess. It does have Flip Flappers' writer, so it may turn out well
Chaos;Child
Another one of those semicolon shows, this one directly related to Chaos Head. I'm not sure how watchable it'll be without having played that (the anime being an utter mess). Or at all, since the fans are saying it'll be hard to adapt well, and the director is also in charge of the writing (never a good sign)
Demi-chan wa Kataritai
Slice of life with some slight supernatural elements. Not much in the way of fanservice or romance. I find it fairly dull, but it's apparently popular
élDLIVE
It's pronounced "L-drive", if you're wondering. So, shounen action thing. Struck me as being aimed at a pretty young audience
Fuuka
A Kouji Seo series, which might give you some idea of what it's like. Seems to be fairly polarizing; seen people that quite like it, and others that describe it as hack-ish melodrama
Gabriel Dropout
This one is kind of interesting— it's a Cringe Comedy. Like, moe and yuri subtext exists in it, but the bulk of the time is spent on cute girls making asses of themselves
Granblue Fantasy
I can definitely tell you that the game this is based on is popular, but I have no idea whether the story is any good. They've also managed to avoid adding any characters I recognize as popular to the castnote
Hand Shakers
Very obviously from the same studio as K, with the same sort of visual approach, for good and ill (characters look a bit worse here, though). Main difference is that it's aggressively heteronormative instead of heavy on the gay. Also, no staff announced
Idol Jihen
The premise has some sort of potential but I don't really expect it to get lived up to. Most likely just an attempt to cram as many characters from the game into the anime as they can
Kemono Friends
Game adaptation... the game is ending service before the anime starts. Also, full-length episodes despite looking like a short
Kuzu no Honkai
One of those series that tends to inspire a lot of rage while maintaining a large audience. I hear the characters are terrible peope
Marginal Number 4
The main writer is the same as Free's, at least
Masamune-kun no Revenge
Despite the rather unpleasant premise, this is a fairly typical romcom
Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitenshabu
You know that Long Riders show that's on now? It's pretty much exactly like that. Main differences being that this is set at high school and the animation studio is competent
Also, what I read of the manga was super clunky. Neither the dialogue nor the art flowed well. Of course, that can be taken care of in transition to the anime
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
Mostly slice-of-life with a tendency towards dramedy. While inarguably yuri, this aspect gets fairly little emphasis. 's reasonably good
The big thing, though, is that Kyo Ani is animating, and they tend to change things at random. Thus far they've already butchered the art style, but there's no telling what'll happen to the story (it's well within their comfort zone, but who knows)
Schoolgirl Strikers
Game-based, and the PV doesn't fill me with hope for the animation quality... but they did get decent if not outstanding staff on board. I still wouldn't expect much from it, but it might be worth looking at
Seiren
Character designs and writing by the character designer of Amagami and KimiKiss... who as far as I know hasn't done writing before? Aside from that, I don't really know much. Like, there's no given premise and it's unclear if this is a harem series, CGDCT, or what
Urara Meirochou
The manga runs in Manga Time Kirara. This should tell you everything you need to know
Youjo Senki
War story where the main character is a terrible person. What I read of it was fairly interesting, but people that have gotten farther are worried that the focus on military tactics won't translate well to anime

I kind of want to watch the reactions of people who'll go into it blind. Will be much better fun than actually watching the show myself.

Yeah, I don't see Narmaya, why even watch?
Despite the rather unpleasant premise, this is a fairly typical romcom
Oh, this. Yeah, unpleasant is the right word to describe it.

That's a big dragon.
Given I find Kouji Seo an utter hack, I agree
Once again a new season is approaching
Lots of romance and comedy, along with some oddball stuff and sequels. So, fairly standard for winter
