Worm, preferably in an Evangelion-esque character study with awesome fight scenes (much like the original source material). Get the guys who did Tiger & Bunny together with Hideaki Anno and Gen Urobuchi and I'm sure we can make it happen.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI was imagining how EscapeFromFurnace would look like if animated by Madhouse. Probably because the body horror somehow reminded me of Parasyte (which I havn't watched yet on the account of being a bit fearful of not being able to get sleep )
Though I was also thinking about whether or not the Japanese can pull off some of the more western elements in those books too, but hey if Stan Lee can write for manga...

Just had a look at it, and I see your point.
I just remembered that Homestuck is also on my top list of things that should totally be anime.

The Matrix would probably make a good anime.

Eh..., I don't think they could animate mecha fight very well, from what I've seen in KLK, at least compared to likes of Sunrise (you should check out Gundam Build Fighters, if you want to see what they are capable).

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Production I.G. are great for a mecha anime (if you don't want Sunrise). And by extension, they include Xebec as well.
You have two of them sorted already. LOL

The Matrix is already an anime. It's called the Animatrix.
Not Three Laws compliant. The Dresden Files would make a pretty damn good anime.
Superpowers, sexy ladies, etc etc
I've always thought The Wheel Of Time would work well as a Type Moon Visual Novel.
Whether that is a good or a bad thing is another matter.
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.If, and only if:
- Harry is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
- Thomas is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa (and Takehito Koyasu is his father).
- Morgan is voiced by Norio Wakamoto, and Harry does an impression of him at some point.

The Animatrix gave me nightmares.
Broken Sky almost was made into an anime, so there's plenty of potential there.
Summer Of The Monkeys has Studio Ghibli written all over it.
Oh, wow. We don't have a page on Summer of the Monkeys?

While there's already been a lot of great anime adapted from Western works... I would like to see how the Japanese would take on something by Michael Ende. It could be very impressive in the right hands. (And if it was in the 80s or early 90s, but that's another story.)
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Wait a minute.
Sucker Punch! That thing is just asking to be turned into an anime!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Honor Harrington, perhaps?
Keep Rolling OnAnd Mind Screw, don't forget the Mind Screw.
Well, Harry Potter, of course. And probably Artemis Fowl.
However, am I the only one who thinks the Prydain series would be particularly suitable? I first read it long before I got into anime, but after thinking back on it, it's almost unnatural how many modern anime tropes this american writer captured over 30 years earlier in what is otherwise a fairly standard european-style fantasy series.
Join my forum game!Forgotten Realms stories without a certain male Drow. I'm guessing focusing on the Chosen I guess...or even the setting as it is "now".

First of all, I searched and didn't find it, but if a thread like this does already exist anyway, please do tell me, because even I fail at times.
So, I have been wondering, what western works would make good anime? I've been thinking that Percy Jackson and the Olympians would actually do pretty well as an anime (can't really get worse than the movies, after all...), as well as Skulduggery Pleasant. Any ideas?
