I just orgasmed.

I'm amazed how little info on the internetz we have of Kusuo Saiki. The only known scanlation covers the first volume, but after that just....stops. Translations and raws are sporadic, and the closest thing to a wiki entry is the crossover with Assassination Classroom. I thought it was supposed to be one of the more popular series currently out.

EDIT: Scratch that bit, ran into this one Blogspot that has about a year's worth of raws on it, and a Facebook page covering the rest. Consider me even more baffled then.

New Update. Problem is that we have no idea who is playable and who's support.

Supposedly this is the full roster of 52 characters in total. It's nifty and fills my appetite of crossover fighters.

If this game sells (and I'm pretty sure it will), who do you guys think will make it in a potential sequel or DLC? (they said no paid DLC, so there might be freebies) Imma go out on a limb and say playable Hentai Kamen and a support Gin. And yes, both were Weekly Jump series.

Just to keep people on this side of the site updated. Every playable, support, cameo and story mode NPC known so far.

This game's cast is bigger than I thought...

I think I heard it's meant to be 52 characters? Well that list there had 52 characters when adding the playables and supports together.

Hope you guys can handle a huge salt intake, cause you're gonna need every last grain for this news: News about a bunch of DLC plus a movie based on the game has apparently been found. The characters involved in the DLC rumor are Light, Zoro, Kinnikuman, Gohan, Yugi, Kakashi and Hanamichi Sakuragi (no clarifying was made between if any of them weren't playable and just Supports).

The alleged movie will involve the studios that make each manga's respective anime for help, and will involve an Original Generation protagonist.

That said, I dunno about this, not only can I not find anyone else with this news, but not even the "Cyberland" site the article talks about. So, caution yourselves before you read the article, I guess?

Well, there have been crossover anime of OP, Dragon Ball and Toriko before...

True, but i've never heard of such a thing done for a whole movie without it just being a crossover between sub-series like the Yu-Gi-Oh/GX/5Ds crossover movie.

If I am remembering right, OP, DB, and Toriko are all owned by the same studio, so it doesn't really count.

But yeah, I'm not really buying this. Neithe "Cyberland" nor "Jap Nation Ani Manga" are showing up on Google searches other than other stuff related to this site, and you've got Game Tager from Shonen Game Z outright calling them out. It'd be amazing if this were true, given how completely dead it's been since release, but I'm taking a truckload of salt right now.

So was there an actual "ending" to the story mode, or just a congratulatory "You Win!" message, before musical montage?

THIS IS UNEXPECTED....

I heard they're adding an arcade mode to it too!

YESSSSSSSS. And it even has a new Arcade mode!

...Still a snowball's chance in hell for a dub, but I hope we can get other new stuff like Characters or Supports <even as DLC.>

Maybe they could add Jotaro, DIO, Dai and Yoh like they were gonna do before time constraints. Maybe even add a couple more like Zoro, Piccolo, Yugi, Light and so forth but I'm stretching my chances there...

I literally can't believe this is actually happening. This game came out and immediately died. But not only is it returning, but it's coming to the West? They actually listened to fan demand and somehow made this work? This is a goddamn Christmas miracle.

As noted in the other thread, there's comparisons to be made with Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, which also managed to get a new version just for the West. It removed the mini-games and one of the characters to do so, but the loss was made up with 5 new characters (one being an English-voiced Frank West). And that version was received well enough to get a release back in Japan. This has already put a good step forward with an added Arcade Mode, but I can only wonder what else has changed in the transition.
