Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Today's worklist, somewhat delayed due to exams:

- Mega Man Basss Revenge: Stub; creator messaged.
- The Nut Job: Stubby article; creator messaged.
- Thats What Im Tolkien About: Needs some crosswicking and indexing.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLooks like "That's What I'm Tolkien About" could use a custom title submission too.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe examples for Thats What Im Tolkien About, at least as written, are really dubious.
Hmm... possible return to YKTTW kick to straighten out examples, if the creator doesn't repair and Wiki Magic doesn't kick in?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAt first I thought it might be viable, seeing as, well, Tolkien basically laid the groundwork for most fantasy. But that's covered by the descriptions for High Fantasy and Medieval European Fantasy, and these examples are just... comically, comically stretching it.
Seriously, Bowser? Mario 3? C'mon, son.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I should note that, while those examples are almost all terrible, Shout Out To Tolkien is certainly a thing - though I'm not sure there'd be enough examples to make it a distinguishable form of stock shout-out.
Missing Supertrope, maybe?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThere is a supertrope already. What I meant is more that I'm not certain deliberate references to Tolkien are common enough that they would actually qualify as a "stock" shout out.
On Thats What Im Tolkien About, my worries are twofold. One, that page was made without YKTTW and with little effort done. Two, Shout-Out pages are prone to misuse as we can't realistically tell coincidental similarity from actual Shout-Out without Word of God. And that page is full of fishy examples.
Anyhow, worklist for today:
- Bułgarski Poscikk: Still needs cleaning.
- Fifty Shades of Grey: A little short on examples; messaged. The Main/ page could use being disambiguated as well.
- Greater Good: Exampleless trope made without YKTTW; creator messaged.
- Positive: Stub; creator messaged.
- Shirtless Captives: Trope made without YKTTW, only three examples and no crosswicking.
- Son of Batman: Only Zero Context Examples; creator messaged.
- The Spectacular Now: Exampleless page; creator messaged.
- Verdi: Stub; creator messaged.
My bad for "Greater Good". No malice intended.
S/he's referring to the blanking of the page, for the record.
Also, while I am waiting for commentary on the previous batch, this evening in Crash Rescue:
- The Cupcake Chronicles: No examples; creator messaged.
- Fraulein Devil: Old page with only two Zero Context Examples.
- Moral Brick: Another exampleless trope; creator messaged.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI foolishly made the Shirtless Captives page in haste. I apparently wasn't paying close enough attention when I was reading the book of rules. I must have completely overlooked the instructions on YKTTT Wing first. I think I should go back to the drawing board and start over there. Shouldn't have rushed into it.
(Hope this is the right place for this.) New account 64Streeter made Characters.Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume. The thing is, he's putting in nothing but Zero Context Examples, and spoilering a lot of them.
I messaged him about the problems, thought I'd report it here in case anyone is familiar with the series and wants to flesh it out.
That, and he's grossly abusing curly brackets as well. He merits a PM at least.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanInitially he created the page with nothing but a single line saying it needs more love. I blanked it with a message to not make a page unless you're going to actually add content. I did PM him, we'll see if he improves it to our standards.
Today's worklist:
- AR Games: It's got only two examples since the PM.
- Son of God: Only one example, and also a "forthcoming" work; creator messaged.
- Warhammer 40000 Glory In Death: Stub with no tropes; creator messaged.
Bit of a policy question here: I've got Secret Identity Apathy ready to launch. We've got examples, good laconic, good description, good name (we even had a crowner). I put up the "Launching in 24 hours if there are no objections" sign, and there was only one objection: It has no hats. At all. Perfectly fine in every other way, but about a week ago its three hats disappeared, and they haven't come back. I was under the impression that hats were a formality, but I don't want it to get cutlisted, so I'm asking here.
There have been multiple reports of YKTTW drafts suddenly losing lots of hats. Seems like it could be a tech problem.
At any rate, another worklist:
- Insurrection: No indexing or crosswicking yet, as well as not being in an official namespace. Putting it out here in case someone wants to argue to make the namespace official (not necessarily in this thread).
- The Legendof Zeldathe Four Sacred Winds: Exampleless work page with overly long description; creator messaged.
- Urotsukidoji: Needs crosswicking; also, I have the feeling that it's a work which the 5P cut under the Main/ namespace.
OK, I'll dig in: Do we agreement on re-YKTTW'ing Thats What Im Tolkien About? The current title is a dialogue trope name, anyhow.
Today's worklist:
- The First War: I did some cleaning, but it will need more.
- Future Battles OCT: Again, only one example.
- School Spirit: No indexing or crosswicking; I did message them yesterday.
Back to YKTTW with the Tolkien.
@Discar: I looked it over and added a hat. If it disappears, it still counts as a fourth.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI'll take care of that tomorrow. In the meantime:
- Cut Time: No examples; creator messaged.
- Lighter Than Heir: Only two examples, and the creator made a Main/ redirect, to boot. Messaging and cutlisting, respectively.
- Nonpachyderm: No examples; creator messaged.
- Permanent Placeholder: Trope with only two examples which was cutlisted; creator messaged.
- Sombulus: Mostly Zero Context Examples; creator messaged.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanToday's worklist:
- Drakengard: Trope example less franchise page; also, it does not seem to me that that series has enough media to justify such a page.
- Misguided Light: Exampleless stub; creator messaged.
- Permanent Placeholder: Hasn't been fixed yet, although it was just yesterday.
- Verdi: What should we do with this one?
Found this stub trope, Media Flanderization, which has only two examples and seems to have been launched without YKTTW.
My usual method of dealing with potentially cutworthy pages is to message the creator, and if they don't fix the issue within 3 days, cutlist it.
Oh, and worklist:
