TLP Crash Rescue - Fixing prematurely launched TLPs and pages

Go To

Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.

Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.

For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches

Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Found Red Scarf Girl, which seems to be the result of either an incompleted work page move, or the new Literature/ page was already processed here for being a stub. The original page has only one listed (and wicked) trope.

And Dmitri Hvorostovsky, a stub from 2012 or earlier which only seems to have ever had 2 ZCEs at most.

The first was namespaced as a stub, hence why it was cut. Go ahead and cutlist the redirect too.

While the noble lady and the rogue is a thing in literature, I wouldn't be surprised if we already have a trope for it, and The Princess and the Pirate sounds more like the dialoguey title of a cheap romance novel to me. At the very least, kick it to YKTTW.

Awkward Pauses has every potential to become a natter-filled magnet. Boot it to YKTTW for a lot of work, or cutlist.

Greeting Gesture Confusion: The OP himself made a TRS topic to change the name, and it somehow got launched with an Alice and Bob description.

Could probably stand to be merged with my old YKTTW for Awkward Handshake, since they're pretty much the same thing.

I think the idea of The Princess And The Pirate can work since there does seem to be a lot of examples out there of an outlaw and a respectably high class woman getting together but the page does need work.

Thanks for the relay. Awkward Handshake currently redirects to Greeting Gesture Confusion, I took several examples from that YKTTW as the discussion didn't seem to be going anywhere. I created a TRS thread last night because I was thinking of renaming "Greeting Gesture Confusion" to "Greeting Gesture Gaffe".

I didn't realize Alice and Bob descriptions were a problem, I can rephrase the description now if needs be.
