This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Maybe just cut the last part?
Like so: "The attitude of Halo 5 seems to be that if you keep chewing the bubblegum maybe the flavour will eventually somehow come back."
Sorry for double posting
Do you guys think this quote is better than the current one in Let's Dance?
"Let's dance... and by dance I mean kill each other!"

I think it describes the context of the phrase better than just stating the trope name. So yeah, a big improvement for me..
Same here.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? There are two quotes in We Buy Anything. Which one do we keep?
Second one works better, but the potholes have to go.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I agree, the first one is funnier but the second one really shows what the trope is all about.
Modesty Towel has a quote that doesn't have enough context to show the trope in question.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Anyways, it's axed.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI think it just makes no goddamn sense. I'd pull it.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The current quote on What Do You Mean, It's for Kids? is the same as the one in R-Rated Opening? What should we do?
Took care of that.

I'd say remove the quote from R-Rated Opening, since it's from a movie that's actually appropriate for children.

So, about the quote on I'm a Humanitarian...
Putting aside the source, personally I like the Plan 7 of 9 From Outer Space quote on the quotes page better. Short, funny, gets the concept well. The current quote doesn't make much sense imo.
The Humanitarian quote needs to go - nothing in the quote makes a reference to the subject without absolutely requiring knowledge of the source. The 7of9 quote is rather bland to me. I would either go with the Austin Powers quote to keep it short or the George Carlin for the extra content.
Austin Powers quote fits Eats Babies better than I'm a Humanitarian.
I like the Carlin quote too, I just thought it might be too long for a page quote—but if it isn't, then I support it as the page quote.
It's not short, but I don't think the Carlin quote for Humanitarian is all that bad, especially compared to the other options.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpCarlin quote is really riffing on No Party Like a Donner Party, though.
I like the Sweeney Todd one.
My favorites are The Walking Dead one and the Sweeney Todd one.
On another note, I'm not if this is the right place to bring this up, but what the heck is going on with the stinger in the Call to Adventure page? It's ridiculously long for a stinger, full of sinkholes, and adds nothing to the page. Can I just delete it?

Fangs of the relentless thousandWhich quote would be best for Love Dodecahedron? I put the Allegro quote back to Your Cheating Heart where it originally was before a now-banned troper moved it.
Hello everybody. A long time ago, we discussed Suicide as Comedy and we removed the old quote (to my suggestion, that's why I remember it). Somebody changed it back. Was it approved? I personally think the current's very weak and probably context-dependent. There is a new example on the page, a poem by Dorothy Parker which rocks and I would love it as the title quote. What do you guys think?
ETA: adding the poem
- Razors pain you;Rivers are damp;Acids stain you;And drugs cause cramp;Guns aren't lawful;Nooses give;Gas smells awful;You might as well live.

Dorothy Parker's quote
New theme music also a boxThe quote on Not Evil, Just Misunderstood is ambiguous and a bit confusing. Without context, people who have never heard of Jessica Rabbit or seen the movie won't understand what the quote means, especially without a reference.
There is the song "Misunderstood" from a Franklin play, which is exactly this trope where a bird who is mistaken for an evil winged beast is actually a kind mother and sings about how everyone misunderstands her.
My heart unmasked and the face of my soul.
Or to slide on a beautiful rainbow, singing songs that we don't know.
We could sing the words with glee, if you would just play...
Just play with me, I am misunderstood.
Please don't judge a book by it's cover.
Take the time to get to know me and you'll see that I'm a friend.
I am misunderstood...
I'd like to suggest this quote from Sacrifice for The Prophecy
Then dark grow deeds and darker hearts, for lost to all are holy arts.
A vagrant comes amidst the gloom, to seal the gaping maw of doom"

New theme music also a boxand look good.
Both Rule of Two and Student–Master Team have the same quote. Any ideas?
Not sure on that, honestly. Rule of Two is one of those pages that really seems like someone tried to build a trope out of a single example and a bunch of shoehorns, but I don't know if it's perfect for Student–Master Team either.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I'm... really iffy about that last bit, though.
