Fanfic Ideas You're Sure Only You Think Are Good

Got some good ideas for AU fics in Terror in Resonance. Least a couple.

Crossover of All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku and Crash Bandicoot.

Specifically, when the Time Twister derped in the True End of Crash Bandicoot Warped, instead of sending Uka Uka, Cortex, and N. Tropy back to prehistory, it sent them into the timeline of Nuku Nuku.

Kyusuke sends a distress signal into the spacetime continuum itself, which Coco somehow picks up on her laptop, before working with N. Brio to make a short-term interdimensional portal so that Crash and the gang can go help subdue their enemies once and for all.

Thoughts?

It's...interesting? I don't care much for either of those things. All I'll tell you is: there are no bad premises, only bad executions.

So, I have an idea of a oneshot that involves a self-insert and my OTP, but said self-insert is a sadist and the oneshot will be filled with Black Comedy. Is this a terrible idea or should I give it a shot?

Anyways, I have attempted a Precure and Danganronpa crossover, a Danganronpa and Ib crossover, a Danganronpa and 999 crossover, and APH and Ever17 crossover, and an APH and Persona 4 one... which I am writing right now. The only one of the other 4 I actually finished was the Precure and Danganronpa series one....

Or, to be more specific -

Usagi is contacted by Pluto and told that she has to go to another world and defeat the evil empire threatening the people there. So she reveals her Secret Identity to her family, says goodbye to the other Senshi (they can't go with her because somebody needs to defend Tokyo) and heads to the other planet. Before she leaves, Pluto gives her a pendant that will enable her to transform into a differently costumed Sailor Moon (because her normal magic won't work on that planet), and she has to get used to this new power.

So, whadda we think? Oh, before I forget, Usagi's gonna pose as the planet leader's niece Serena.

Well? Good or bad?

i want to see a Harry Potter fanfic where Harry isn't actually magical, but gets the letter anyway. On top of that, he's run away from the Dursleys early on, and now lives on his own, earning a bit of money... as a street magician.

He then fakes his way through Hogwarts, and possibly defeats Voldemort, through sleight-of-hand. No actual magic.

I have a few other projects i'm working on or else i'd write it myself... and I also don't know enough about illusions and such to really go in-depth about it to make it interesting.

Similar to another idea I'd had, How To Train Your Dragon as a Super Robot anime.

Here's how I think it would work: Move it from Viking times to after an invasion of alien robots conquered most of the world. Toothless is now the first of a new kind of robot that runs away from his masters and then runs into Hiccup, and they eventually start training everyone else to battle for peace between man and machine.

A Dan Vs. fanfiction. The concept goes like this: After the show's cancellation, the characters have been kicked out. They're currently homeless, similar to the Wreck-It Ralph thing. Dan learns about the new network decisions and decides to go on one last angry crusade. Chris, Elise, and Dan team up with the characters from the shows that were cancelled to enact revenge. "Dan Vs. The Network"

It sounds awful, right? I always think that my stories/story ideas are bad.

Final Fantasy VI: for whatever reason, Terra's Slave Crown can't be removed. Maybe it's fused to her skull or something. Basically, stuck as a completely subservient superweapon, but rather than "loyal" to Kefka/the Empire, obedient to pretty much anyone.

Why? Partly Rule of Drama (the Returners being Not So Different from The Empire in the use of Terra, though not by choice), partly to try and get some potential horror out of it.

So Banon does what he has to do?

Of course, someone would eventually find a third option at Cid's lab. Then again, how would Maduin react? I'm thinking that he somehow gets through to the Esper Army, which would still destroy Vector but would not likely stop there.

Admittedly, I haven't touched FF 6 in many years, so I don't remember much of the bigger picture right now. read: I'd have to play it again a time or two before ever trying to write for it.

I am in the process of watching a Let's Play of it, though, which in hindsight is where I got the idea in the first place.

• A crossover of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Dead Space in which an FTL drive malfunction at the end of the first game sent Isaac Clarke to the beginning of the Universal Century with the Marker blueprints in his head, changing its course dramatically - Zeon, for instance, is a Unitarian theocracy based around the teachings of the Prophet Deikun, and the Titans' 'colony gassings' were the official cover for a far more sinister form of biological warfare.
• A version of Code Geass in which Lelouch isn't Bismarck-in-a-bottle, but a sheltered, mildly traumatised schoolboy with an extraordinary talent for getting in over his head.
• A take on Dark Souls in which a pyromancer uses his family heirloom, the Old Witch's Ring, his Resurrective Immortality, and a metric ton of bloody-minded determination to hammer out an alliance with Quelaag so they can gather enough Humanity to heal her sister. Naturally, this being Dark Souls, having an ancient, powerful Daughter of Chaos on his side lets him learn far more far faster about how utterly fucked they and the world in general are, and presents them with some very uncomfortable choices... especially once they discover exactly what Humanity is, and what an overdose of it can do to you.
• A take on The Familiar Of Zero in which Louise summons Raoh as her Gandalfr... and then has to hunt him down when he goes rogue, twists the simmering anger over Halkeginia's social inequalities into fuel for a new army, and declares war on basically everyone in order to further his never-ending ego-trip.
• A version of Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei in which I take the creepy right-wing subtext/explicit text and roll with it, injecting a touch of Full Metal Panic along the way. Miyuki's the Kid with the Leash for a robotic, overprotective walking nuke who used to be her sweet-natured brother, the country she's supposed to help rule one day is revealing itself to be ever more of a backward, bigoted hellhole, and most of the civilised world is out to murder her (which would be better if she could really blame them for it). Your first year at high school is rarely easy, but she can't help but feel that this might be going a little far.

I would read the heck out of that FOTNS/FOZ one.

Just elaborating on a couple of old ideas:

Crystal Tokyo Sailor Moon story: Basically, Crystal Tokyo gets attacked by an alien race (NOT the Black Moon Clan), and Sailor Elysion Moon (the daughter of Chibi-Usa) and the other 11 children of the Sailor Senshi (all of whom are named after asteroids, as their mothers keep the names of the planets until they retire) have to save the day.

Cardcaptor Sakura story: Basically, Tomoyo gets kidnapped, and Saukura, Syoran and Meilin (who's come for a visit) have to save her. The trio split up at some point, with Kero going with Meilin (after all, Sakura has the cards and Syoran has magic, but she's just a skilled martial artist, and that's not gonna help much going up against guys with guns and knives). But that's not gonna be easy - not only are Tomoyo's kidnappers extremely skilled magic users, they're the resurrection of a cult that used to antagonize Clow Reed, and they want the Clow Cards (they either don't know or don't care that Sakura's the only one who can use the cards).

So, whadda we think?

I don't really know either of these fandoms, so I can't say much...

A Portal 2 fanfic where Chell discovers that the Combine finished absorbing the Earth's atmosphere, rendering the surface utterly inhabitable and decides to offer to search through the Old Aperture to bring anything interesting back to G La DOS while keeping their contacts to the minimum.

Then after a couple years worth of exploration, Aperture Science Instant Transportation shenanigans happens, prompting a Half-Life 2 crossover... And then, ASIT again, a bit of G-Man interested in Eridium, and woop: Gordon, Alyx, Chell and G La DOS (as a Pipboy-like device) ends up on Pandora, stuck with 6 people who make G La DOS seriously reconsider her definition of "lunatic"... And put her sarcasm sub-processes in overdrive.

(And that was the severely shortened version, where I don't mention various stuff like the knife that toasts bread as it cuts it.)

Then I guess the first thing I need to do is figure out what a humanoid robot that's also recognizable as Toothless would look like.

I'm sure Mobile Fighter G Gundam has something.

Well, I've always wanted to write a fic about my Crack!ship Megatron/Mikaela.

Kingdom Hearts and Watch Dogs crossover. Roxas and Xion go to Chicago, meet up with Aiden and pretty much have their innocence shattered.

I have no idea why I think this is a good idea.

A decon-recon switch of Kingdom Hearts self-inserts and OC fics where war is only hell if you're not properly paranoid, properly prepared, 'meta-gaming', and being a few steps ahead of your opponent.

Oh and the self insert/OC main character is pretty gay.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Core Heroes. It uses a type of card I created, the Core Monsters, which can transform the duelists who use them into them. It's similar to current Arc-V in the fact that the Core Monsters are only used, at the beginning, by a team of 5 girls called the Magical Core Team, which then adds the "Yugi" of the season, young Jouji Asobu. The enemies use other kinds of monsters.

Actually pretty interesting.

Gantz.

Only the Gantz machine summons people from different franchises all together, and the timer is set to the "year" that anime came out.

2007 - Kamina, Ryoko Asakura, Justice, Light Yagami, and others hunting aliens on a Gantz mission.

So on, so forth.
