- (a 1-up mushroom drops down and revives Tommy Wiseau)"I'm back!"—The very first thing in the show.
The Tommy Wi-Show is a Web Original by Nathan's Ultimate Channel, starring the misadventures of Tommy Wiseau from The Room (2003). In these misadventures, he's accompanied with his best friend Mark to take down villains like The Irate Gamer and Pacifica. Tommy is also joined by an army of other characters. In fact, the series shares similarities between Chincherrinas' The Frollo Show. The series began on November 24, 2019 and ended on May 12, 2020. An entire video with all the episodes can be found here.
Not to be confused with this and this.
The series is followed by Devin and Carrie's Adventures.
"Oh hai, tropes."
- Acid-Trip Dimension: Arnold went into one for failing to destroy Tommy, Mark, and Denny.
- Are We There Yet?: Koki says that when they reach the forest where the final battle takes place.
- Back for the Finale: First of all, Leonidas and the Mystery Twins only appeared in the first episode, and did not reappear until the finale.
- Then, there's Vladimir Mark (who appeared in Episode 2), Mikhail Gorbachev, and Don Ramon (who both appeared in Episode 2).
- Back from the Dead: That's exactly how the series began, since it takes place after The Room (2003).
- Then, of course, the same thing happens in Episode 5 with him, as well as Mark and Aviva and Koki.
- Berserk Button: Don't poop on Pacifica's face.
- If Mabel wants a hug, give her one. If you don't, then she'll whoop your ass.
- Do not destroy Don Ramon's conventions, or he'll get furious.
- Big Bad:
- Mabel in Episode 1. At first, though.
- Vladimir Mark and Mikhail Gorbachev in Episodes 2 and 3.
- Don Ramon in Episode 3.
- Pacifica in Episodes 4 and 5.
- But the biggest one of all is The Irate Gamer, from Episodes 4 through 6. In the final episode, he can turn into Wilford Brimley with the power of diabeetus.
- Big Bad Ensemble: All of the villains fought with all the good guys in the final episode.
- Big Damn Heroes: Denny does this twice in Episodes 3 and 5, both of which involving his Football Blaster.
- Brought Down to Normal: The Irate Gamer turns back to normal thanks to Leonidas' memetic phrase.
- Combat Pragmatist: Both Tommy and Mark in Episode 5. That doesn't go on for a while though.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Tommy and Mark didn't last long against Pacifica and Arnold.
- Death Is Cheap: Tommy and Mark (as well as Aviva and Koki) were in Hell for two episodes. They both escaped just by jumping.
- Deliberately Monochrome:
- The "Previously on…" segments.
- In Episode 5, Tommy had a flashback of the first episode where he used the Dinner Blaster on Ricky Caldwell, which falls on this trope too.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Mabel started beating the crap out of Tommy in the first episode, because he won't offer her a hug.
- Disney Acid Sequence: After failing to destroy Tommy Wiseau's team, Pacifica sent Arnold into one while "Dark Spring" plays.
- Disney Villain Death: Played for Laughs in Episode 4, when he just jumped off the roof.
- Inverted in the following episode when Tommy, Mark, Aviva, and Koki come back to life by falling upwards while the 8-Bit Mega Star theme plays.
- Downer Beginning: In Episode 4, which picks up from Episode 3's downer ending (see below). It is when we get to Hell when we go back to comedy.
- Downer Ending: Denny dies in Episode 3.
- Driven to Suicide: Both Tommy and Mark do that in Episode 4. But, they both come back to life in the following episode.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The first three episodes are more of a YouTube Poop than a story-line episode. In fact, some parts have nothing to do with the plot and are cut from this video.
- Establishing Character Moment: Vladimir Mark does this in Episode 2.
- Gainax Ending: The first episode is like this: Mabel beats up Tommy and Mark is kicked in the pit by Leonidas.
- Hostile Show Takeover:
- The Irate Gamer did that while Tommy and Mark are dead.
- Aviva and Koki tried to do this, until the gamer showed up.
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Not only does this have characters from The Room (2003), but by the time of the Grand Finale, we now have characters from The Irate Gamer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Gravity Falls, Wild Kratts, Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2, Troll 2, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 300, and even El Chavo del ocho. And there's also a few cameo characters appearing as well.
- Narm: Just like The Frollo Show, it is weaponized by Ricky Caldwell in universe, with some of his attacks reappearing from RarePG itself.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Arnold is a huge example of this, and as punishment, he is sent into an Acid-Trip Dimension.
- Not Quite Dead: Tommy and Mark (as well as Aviva and Koki) came back to life by jumping from Hell.
- Oh, Crap!: Tommy and Mark do this in Episode 3 when Mikhail Gorbachev and Vladimir Mark tell them to do labor.
- Overly Long Gag: Tommy has a ridiculous long laugh in the first episode before Mark punched him in the face.
- The Power of Friendship: Happens a lot because Tommy and Mark are best friends in the movie itself.
- Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: "Don't kill me, motherf***er!"
- Re-Cut: This video, which has all the episodes in one, with parts that have nothing to do with the plot removed.
- Reference Overdosed: Well, the 18 characters help, but the Shout-Outs? Oh, shoot.
- Replacement Scrappy: In-Universe when Steven Spielberg wanted to replace Denny with Justin Bieber and Mark with Joe Biden. Tommy refused.
- Russian Reversal: Vladimir Mark actually talks in reverse, so he can sound like he's speaking Russian.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
- In Episode 3, Tommy left his life of doing forced labor for the Soviet Union and went to an anime convention.
- In the same episode, Vladimir and Gorbachev did the trope themselves thanks to Denny and his Football Blaster.
- In Episode 4, he refused to have Joe Biden be his sidekick, and instead he committed suicide so he can be with Mark.
- Screwed by the Lawyers:
- The Justin Bieber part in Episode 2 is removed in the actual video. It is so far, still in the Re-Cut though.
- The ending (which parodies Zoolander) has the song "Sweetest Perfection" instead of "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go".
- Shout-Out: Many, but here are some examples.
- Tommy came back to life by a 1-up mushroom.
- Tommy was watching Mufasa's death on his old TV.
- When testing out the Magic Flopping Slider, he was watching Teletubbies, Barney & Friends, and finally The Magic School Bus on it.
- Tommy was using the Dinner Blaster on Ricky Caldwell to save Dipper and Mabel. Then, there's Denny's Football Blaster, which parodies it.
- The Previously on… segments is narrated by the narrator from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
- One part had Tommy attempting to do his Annoying Laugh, but it was replaced by Ricky Caldwell's, causing them both to parody the ending to Duck Amuck.
- In the third one, Tommy said "Hi, doggy" to a Nintendogs trailer.
- Vladimir introducing Mikhail Gorbachev by saying "Hey, Johnny, say hello to my new boyfriend!" is a reference to when Mabel was introducing Dipper and Grunkle Stan to Norman.
- Signature Sound Effect: Tommy's laugh.
- Take That!: Two to Justin Bieber, in the second and fourth episode.
- Also, to the Big Bad of the show, The Irate Gamer.
- Teleport Spam: Happens to Wilford Brimley after Susan and Mary messed with their teleporter.
- Tempting Fate: Happens in the second episode when Tommy was pushed off the roof by Vladimir Mark. And all he said was "Oh hai Mark."
- In the Grand Finale, Tommy asked "You and What Army?" Cue his army.
- Theme Music Power-Up: "Follow Me" by Amanda Lear. This song was used in Episode 5 while Tommy and Mark took out their weapons.
- Took a Level in Badass: Pretty much all the heroes, especially Dipper and Mabel.
- Unexplained Recovery: Tommy was pushed off the roof in Episode 2. It's kinda weird because the same roof-falling video was used when he was Driven to Suicide. We don't know how he survived the first time he fell off the roof.
- Villain Teamup: In the Grand Finale, Wilford teamed up with all of the villains.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Tommy and Mark.
- Wham Episode: The Grand Finale is almost one huge RPG battle between all the heroes and villains.
- Wham Line: Wilford Brimley said the exact same thing the gnome said to Mabel before kidnapping her.
